Harrs is a very typical small town steakhouse. It is good eats but you have to have reasonable expectations going in. From the right vantage point it is a great place to take in small town ambience without having to travel too far from the city. It's not for the pompous crowd who equate enjoyable dining with state population. If you are looking for a good meal and wanting to take in some small town atmosphere, head to Harrs. If you are a pretentious douche like Scot you should probably stay in your more worldly and densely populated areas....speaking of dense.

"Oh, you just HAVE to eat at Harrs," the local yokels babbled incessantly. "It's soooooo good, it's the BEST place to eat!!!!"

Uh huh. This heard in a state whose ENTIRE state-wide population is less than a mid-size city in many states.

I don't know what the problem is in Nebraska. I have been to upper-crust expensive dining establishments here and walked out generally unimpressed. Mid-scale restaurants in other states are superior to the highest-quality firms here!!!!

Okay, as for Harrs. Considering the general quality of restaurants in this area they are not bad but I refrain from using the "good" term.

Ineffecient amateur servers who do a mediocre job while the owners do nothing to improve the service.

Food quality is spotty. Nothing to write home about. The dining area is too crowded. If the table next to you has a squawking kid the noise-making mini-human might as well be in your lap.

Watching the customers it was apparent that pert' near everyone knew everyone else so the raving about this restaurant is likely due to the locals not knowing how mediocre their choices of dining establishments is in this area and that dining out is as much of a social experience as imbibing good food.

Prices are fair but they have to be....since the food quality, as mentioned, is just okay at best.

Due to the general overall low-quality of dining here in the self-proclaimed "Heartland" I suppose Harrs is as good of a place to go as anywhere.

Personally, I'd just as soon eat at home since I can cook as well or better than the food "wrassler" at Harrs.

PROS: Small town socializing
CONS: Not much yummy for the tummy
