CompUSA is a chain owned by a Mexico corporation (unless it's been sold lately).

If you've seen one CompUSA well, this one isn't any different.

The employees here can be helpful though some aren't very knowledgeable about computing or the other products the store carries. With luck, if you have a question, you'll interact with one of the tech savvy workers. If one employee doesn't answer your question try asking another. It seems there's usually at least one employee present who can offer good advice or share knowledge.

Prices trend to the higher side, especially when compared to on-line prices. But, here you can put your hands on the merchandise, sense it, become one with it to determine if that product meets your burning desires. Of course, after the interaction some folks depart to order that item on-line.

It appears that the software offerings are not as extensive as in the past. All I see are the same old softwares every other retail brick-and-mortar store offers. And, as with hardware, prices trend to the higher side.

For the experience computer user I assume they do as I do, mostly shop on-line for computer-related components, parts, accessories, etc. But, at times, we want sumpthin' NOW!!!! maybe a hard drive to get one's machine up and running again. CompUSA is good for that.

Other products offered are digital cameras, complete name-brand computers, cell phones and a whole bunch of other goodies filling the shelves. There are also techs available to repair computers, build computers, etc. The hourly rates are rather high, in my never humble opinion but some folks need those services.

PROS: Lots of stuff on the shelves
CONS: Prices can be high
