Went to the hometown of my wife, and found a true treasure in the downtown. The young owner was so excited about his place. The prices were very inexpensive for brand new movies, and the popcorn had to be the best I've ever had. Very efficient and curtious high school students took care of the concession stand, that offered "eatable" normal size of a HUGE assortment of candy. We got kids trays with popcorn, pop and candy for $3.00. I had a large buttered popcorn in the old fashioned paper tubs. It was $3.00 and I had to go back and get a refill, which was $1.50. Not sure if the butter was real or not, but it was awesome. I'm craving it now. The building was spacious, the seats were comfortable, and the owner has plans for renovations. If I win the lottery, I'm giving that guy all the money he needs to achieve his dream. It's a nice clean place already. I think they have mentally challenged individuals who keep the place very clean. They had side speakers, but I only heard sound from behind the screen, which was fine, but I just wondered about that. Otherwise I give the place two thumbs up, and I'll make it a point to always go when I'm back in Crete. My in-laws typically head to the capital city for their movies, but I think they are realizing they have quite a treasure in their own town. I certainly think a lot of the place, and I've only been there once!!! Maybe it was my first impression, but it's a great place to see movies.
