I recently dined at 48th & O Perkins and let me tell you it was amazing extremely fast food and almost to hot to eat. the service was excellent very friendly and personal. It was a Sunday morning the place was packed I couldn't find a parking place and still did not have to wait for a table. I was shocked that it could be so busy and so good at the same time.

My boyfriend and I went to the Perkin's at 48 & O for dinner because we had received pretty good service there a couple of Sunday mornings. But our latest experience was awful. For one thing, they kept the restaurant at an arctic temperature.

And the server treated us in an incredibly unfriendly manner the entire time-- like we were infringing on her time by being there, or like she was silently judging us-- and walked around like she owned the place. She put her pad down on the table and spelled out what we were ordering in front of us: "No tomatoes please" illicited a response of "No... tom..." as we waited for her to write it out. If you get a large woman with short brown hair who walks with an attitude, you may want to just turn around and go somewhere else. We were afraid to ask for things because she was so abrasive. My boyfriend's eggs were not done the way he had ordered them, and my fries were cold-- although I am not sure whether they were cold when they came or if they just became cold really fast because the restaurant temperature was so low.

She never bothered checking on us, and I couldn't get her to come over to ask for a box, so I finally had to get a box myself from the hostess when we paid-- that is, after we had waited for so long for the hostess to appear that I had to look for her through the window to the kitchen in order to get her to come. Because the hostess took so long and because we had waited even before that to try to get the server to give us a box, we had to go to a different showing of the movie we had planned to see afterwards.

Moreover, some sort of kitchen staff person continuously appeared at the counter, wearing a hat backwards and not wearing any sort of uniform-- he looked really unprofessional. I am not sure, but he seemed to come out every now and then with the purpose of leering at a scantily clad girl sitting in a booth. Of course, this ended after awhile because the girl finally got a sweatshirt out of her car-- because it was so cold in there!

Needless to say, my boyfriend and I were not happy with our choice of Perkin's. I have had good service at other Perkin's restaurants, so I expected more from this one.

When I was new in town, I took my family to eat at Perkins, since the chain is a favorite for quick, good food. We received horrible service at the restaurant at 48th and O! Once we were seated and had given our orders, we watched other people come in and receive their food before we did. No communication from the waitress. When we finally asked about the delay, she made up some excuse, checked with the kitchen, and it was still several more minutes before we got our food. When it did arrive, two of four orders were wrong. While we were eating, we overheard people at another table complain, and they received a free meal. We were offered no such compensation. I wrote to the restaurant manager after our visit to express my disappointment but never heard back. Clearly, customer service is not a priority! I will never return to this restaurant and recommend that others stay away, too.
