I would not trust anything at this facility!!! Shady and money hungry. Awful, awful place!!! I am a former employee and it is a terrible place to work or be treated. I sent my father to NHI due to the poor conditions at Bryan. STAY AWAY unless you want to be overcharged and treated like cattle. Its all about the money and not about care!

For all the money they spend telling us they are the best (most caring) hospital in the mid west, they FAIL miserably in every aspect of their care. Bryan LGH (not the heart institute) was unable to diagnose a kidney stone or a migraine of mine. I had to go to a general practitioner to get that done AFTER going to their Emergency room. Too add insult to injury they sued me for a $7,000, bill for what boiled down to a shot of morphine for a relief to my pain.

BHI botched my mothers double by-pass surgery by forgetting to administer pain medication post-op? Are you kidding me? BEWARE OF THIS "HOSPITAL" -- They don't care how you feel, just how much they can gouge you for without actually helping you.

Oh yeah, and their patient advocacy department is no better. I've attempted to contact them more than 10 times (during business hours) with NO RESPONSE. Maybe I should just contact a lawyer since that's the only way they EVER made any contact with me.

Bryan LGH = Pitiful

Our experience with Bryan Heart Institute was one I would not wish on our worst enemies. No compasion or understanding. One would think those in the medical field would be more insightful.

Although Bryan-Lgh's Heart Center was reknowned in this area for its excellence in cardiac care and services, the center got too big and too busy, and did so very many heart surgeries all the time, it started to function similar to "McDonald's", becoming the automated "fast-food" place for heart care. The individual needs of the patient got lost for awhile, and quality went with it. Since the center re-organized and split off from from another other cardiac care group, services might have improved and become more individualized an d accurate. Still, I would be very careful and on top of every little detail of care if I had a loved one hospitalized there.

PROS: Expertise.
CONS: Too big, too many patients, individual needs get lost.
