Fun shop

The Antiquarium is cool to go to and just wander around and hang out. A freakin' ton of books...old mags, comics, records, cds, tapes and artwork upstairs. Imagine your old crazy uncle owns a mansion. He has a book fetish and several cats. He lets anybody come over and hang out to play chess, lay around, philosophize, role play and meander about. That's the Antiquarium.

If you like to "just hang out" around stacks of wonderful old books, the antiquarium is for you. I have spent many an hour just looking through all this store has to offer. They have a great selection and real booklovers working there.

Wonderful Business

by Cortny R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,201

The Antiquarium, above all others, is Omaha's premiere "typical bookstore". If you're looking for a real bookworm experience, here's your shop. The employees are all laid back, the coffee is hot, and there are stacks of used books as far as the eye can see. Books are relatively easy to locate and priced reasonably. The best part... the second and third floors house a groundbreaking art museum that is completely worth the stop.

PROS: Selection, Atmosphere, Art
CONS: Somethings things can be difficult to locate
