I actually have not been there to eat. Everytime I go it is to play pool, shoot darts, and to mingle with friends. Last time I was there it was after a wedding before going to the reception. Great service everytime I have been there.

We've been here a few times, and I don't think we'll be going back. The food is just OK and it's a bit noisy. Last time we went, there was an awful smell as we went up the stairs, definitely something you wouldn't want to smell in a restaurant!

Upstream has absolutely delicious food and a great selection of beer. My only complaint is that it is not kid friendly. It's definitely a restaurant to visit for a date night when you are kid free. The food is excellent and the service is always great!

The Upstream Brewing Co. is one of my favorite restaurants in Omaha. It has great atmosphere. I had first discovered this location for a batchelor party dinner. They got our large party in quickly and had our food quick too. They have some great beers on tap as well as their own brew. My favorite had to be their schnitzel! Almost too much for one person to finish. Their mashed potatoes are also something to be sure to try.

Upstairs they have a billiards room with quite a few pool tables. This is a great afternoon location to hang out with some friends, enjoy good food and good brew.

I have mixed feelings about the Upstream. The food is really good. The food item that stands out on the list is their Beer Cheese Soup. It is made with a smoked gouda that is out of this world. Every food item I have ordered from there has been perfect. The kitchen staff really have their act together. What I don't like about it, is that it is always jammed with the beer fans. Granted, it is a brewery, so it was designed that way. But it makes it hard when you are there for the food and you have to wait for the socialites to get done so you can get a table. I am hoping that they will expand their dining section so that the rest of us can get in. It is also very loud, and when you're trying to be romantic, screaming across the table doesn't make it easy. So it is NOT a good date place unless you're after a beer connasuer.

Pros: food, beer, root beer

Cons: noise, the wait, not enough tables

Upstream is a great place for Dinner or to meet friends for pool, darts, and drinks.
Try their scotch ale, it is my favorite. I also enjoy their fried calamari.

Pros: Great Beers, Atmosphere

Cons: service can be slow

I have been living in Omaha for only 3 years, and this is one of my top three places in the city to dine; both casual and more upper casual.

The service is perfect, the food is to die for, (try the cheesecake and jalapeno poppers!!) and the beer delicious!

If you have the chance...definitely try Upstream. The location in West Omaha is great too, however, I prefer the downtown location better....not as "Hoitie Toitie" :)

Pros: Great Beer!, Delicious Food!, Great Environment!

Cons: , Waiting times (pm)

Stopped here for lunch on a business trip. The service was diligent and attentive, although our waiter was a little deadpan. The place was bustling when we arrived (about 12:30 on a Tuesday), and although it was loud, the noise didn't intrude terribly on the table coversation. The menu was fairly typical pub fair -- sandwiches, salads, pizzas, with some larger entrees. I had the grilled chicken/proscuitto salad with balsamic dressing. The chicken was moist and the dressing flavorful (although there was an overabundance of it).

Pros: convenient location, quick service
