We are a military family (hubby has 24+ years of active duty service & we have travelled all around the world & U.S.). We value honesty and integrity in the businesses that we frequent especially when it comes to our children & pets. We are newly assigned to Offutt AFB, NE. We kenneled our little dog at this facility 3 times this summer. Each time, we were encouraged to bring a blanket/towel and our own dog food. As requested, we brought her dog food in a clear container with her feeding instructions marked boldly on the outside along with dog treats and her towel. When we picked her up after the first 2 stays (which varied in length from a few days to a couple of weeks), we noticed that the towel smelled was absolutely filthy, but folded up on top of her dog food container. We didn??t think anything of it as they have a lot of dogs & cats there. However, this past weekend, we boarded our dog for 2 nights and when we picked her up ?? her towel was given to us wet and the employee said that they had just finished washing it and didn??t have a chance to dry it. Once we brought our dog home, we noticed that she had severe diarrhea. I called Groomingdale??s and spoke with an employee, and asked if they might have accidently fed our dog some other brand of dog food or if they noticed that she had diarrhea during her stay. The employee said, ??I??m not sure, let me get Wendy.? I could hear hushed voices talking about the dog in the background. Wendy came on the line and said that she didn??t notice anything. I asked, ??Are you sure?? and told her about the wet towel. She said that they ALWAYS washed the towels/blankets for the pets after a stay (which is not true as they didn??t on the 2 previous stays this summer). I was surprised and mentioned to Wendy that they didn??t wash her things the two previous times, and asked again, if she was sure that our dog wasn??t sick while there? Wendy said, ??When the dogs have diarrhea here, we give them a pill to stop it.? I was surprised? you give someone??s pet medicine without asking first? Strange. I would strongly recommend using another boarding company in the area; for instance, Paddington Station; instead of, this facility.

I've always found that Groomingdale's has been great to work with, whether I need a last minute kennel stay if I get called out of town, or if I have to change an appointment.I've used their service ever since they have opened and have never had an unhappy experience. My dog enjoys going there.

We have 3 dogs and have been using Groomingdales for about 4 years (even before they moved to larger nicer location). Wendy is always flexible on scheduling, and they do big dogs and even small growly dogs (I have one of each!). They are always friendly and good with the animals. My dogs get excited when we arrive! We've also boarded at Bark Ave a few times and prefer them to some other places because they allow our dogs to stay together, and have their own toys, beds and treats. If you board, ask to have your dog groomed on their last day. What a bonus.

The customer was made aware of our closing time when she dropped off her dog at 8:00 am. she was told the dog would be ready for her to pick up at noon. She did not pick it up but called to say she was in Omaha and wouldn't be able to pick it up until 4:30 that's not 5 minutes.. Just because the owners live on the premises doesn't mean they don't have lives outside of the shop. We boarded the dog for her and she didn't pick it up until almost closing time the next day. Apologies were made to the owner if there was a miss communication but none were made to us. We have 100s of happy customers that don't have a problem with picking up there animals on time.

I've taken my pet there several times for grooming and she always enjoys going and the work they do in exceptional. They also provide boarding. The prices are very reasonable.
