One of the best breakfasts in the area, lunch and dinner are great too. Vicki always treats us very well. It feels just like a meal with family! Prices are very competitive.

This is definitely comfort food. The diner is quaint and a pleasant environment. The waitresses seem to know most of the patrons. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The waitress was very attentive to us and provided great service. This is a nice family restaurant with good, simple home cooked food. We really enjoyed eating here.

My wife and I recently tried Vidlak's Family Cafe, having heard good things from some of our friends. Since then, we have been back a few times, and we are very pleased with the selection, the services, the prices, and the atmosphere.

I always order the most expensive things on the menu, yet my wife and I rarely exceed $10 a person. The breakfasts are so large that I often skip lunch after eating there.

Prices are typical for diner fare but the portions are generous, which makes Vidlak's a superior value. The art on the walls (much of it colored by children of the staff and patrons) gives the restaurant the ambiance of the kitchen table in your grandmother's house. The decoration is sometimes a little 'kitchy', but serves the restaurant well. The only thing missing from the classic diner motif is the lunch counter. Their "American staples" include all of the classics: pancakes, eggs (any style), sandwiches, steaks, roasts, chili, and hand-made desserts. With a few exceptions (baked potatoes, for example) it appears that anything on the menu is available at any time during the day or evening.

The three person wait staff is efficient and professional, but friendly. Nothing seemed to phase them as they worked to feed over 75 patrons at a time. Week-ends seem to be their busiest time, but there seems to always be something going on or someone in the restaurant.

In addition to the traditional diner fare, Eric has gone the extra step and sells wine and beer with his dinner selections. In spite of that, the restaurant remains a restaurant and not a bar that serves food. The staff greets all of their patrons, from children and seniors, with the same level of service and enthusiasm.

Thinking outside the box seems to be a trend for Eric and his staff; he has recently added free Texas Hold'em Poker (through the Big O Poker League) as an attraction for Saturday afternoons.

PROS: The great services and execution of classic American fare.

CONS: The facilities could use some attention; the carpeting on the floor doesn't seem to be a good choice for a restaurant, especially one that serves the needs of young families with children.

The service is great, and the food matches! I have visited this place quite a bit, and I have always enjoyed the food. They are not shy about refilling your coffee either, which makes for a happy belly!!!

PROS: Breakfast Burrito & Service
CONS: None!
