This place is great if you are looking for a "Friends" haircut, I am with CB. Overpaying for a lousy haircut, this was my second and last time here. Looks like it's pony tails for the next few months for me. Thanks NSPJ. One compliment

I've now been to NSPJ's four times. My first haircut was fine... rather unremarkable, and overpriced, but nothing to complain about. The last three times, however, make me wonder if I'm actually at the same spa as the other reviewers.

Haircut - My request was to clean up the style that I already had. I'm a new mom, so simplicity is key, and I need a style that looks good even when I don't have 45 minutes to fuss with it. I explained what I wanted (long layers, with bangs that flow into them), and asked if that was clear. Thirty minutes later, I had a big, short block of bangs that doesn't look good even with a professional blow dry. I don't even want to think about what this is going to look like tomorrow. I let the stylist know, and she just kept cutting it shorter and shorter, so I stopped complaining. When I asked the front desk if there was someone else who could try to help, they went and got the SAME stylist... so then I was left standing in front of a lobby full of people, awkwardly trying to avoid further carnage to my hairstyle, while wanting to help this poor girl save face. Finally after coming to the conclusion that growing out the cut was the only solution, the manager told me, in front of the stylist and the rest of the folks in the room, that they??d comp my cut. I fled the scene as quickly as I could to maintain some dignity, but called the manager back to express concern over how the situation had been handled. The net of a five minute conversation was that she felt that, ??this was not the salon for me.? Somehow, this seems to be my fault.

Massage ?? The heat was broken on a cold winter day, and the therapist spread a thin sheet over me for cover. I asked about a blanket, and a thin one was procured. She never checked in again, so I spent what would have otherwise been a pleasant massage, freezing my butt off. Granted, this is a situation where being more proactive would probably have brought a solution, but usually in a service industry, the person providing the service checks in to see how things are going.

Mani-Pedi ?? Short synopsis, my sister went home and had to re-do her French manicure. I ended up at the podiatrist with an ingrown toenail.

So, I think I agree with the manager? this is not the salon for me. For the money, you??re better off making the drive to Boston.

I went in to have a cut and a foil, I thought it would be really expensive but when they were done it was no more than the other better salons in my area and the girl who did my hair was awesome. I will definitely go back!!

Went here with my sister in law who was getting haircut and suggested I come for some services. When we got there, they did her hair and I asked how much and they said <$$$> for a haircut and I nearly collapsed! While they did a beautiful job on SIL's hair, I will stick to Rumors, who does as nice a job but at less than half the price! The atmosphere is wonderful, but the price is not right. We are not in NY people!
