This restaurant has a spectacular view of Mt Washington. In the late fall, snow has already formed at the summit. The inside of the restaurant is decorated in the country theme of the area. Snow shoes, ski's, tools of the earlier settlers...etc. We ate there just yesterday and the service was quick, and the food arrived faster than a fast food restaurant. It was hot, delicious, and very reasonable. We're in the hospitality business and we know what good service is. We also know that when you work 2 1/2 months straight in the summer without a day off, your bound to have some stressfull days. Especially at the end of the season, when your worn down. We not only highly recommend this restaurant on our own visit, but the hundreds of familys that stay with us that eat there diuring their stay's with us. We only recommend and go to the places that are guests appove of. So, if your in the area or close to the area stop in and find out for yourself. Our returning guests, that go there once, go back year after year.

Friends recommended this quaint restaurant to stop and get breakfast on the way to Santa's Village. We had to wait to be seated but the food was worth it. Great portions and everyone was great. The owners were on the premises and very nice, The pancakes were huge and cooked just right. Chocolate chip pancakes available for the kids and a BIG MAN Breakfast for the hubby. No complaints from our family of 5. Price was right. The waitress was busy but pleasant when we called to her. Gift shop is adorable and unique to the area. We'll go back next year on our trip to Jefferson, NH.

This was the absolute worst experience of my dining career! As we waited for our food, the owner threw the biggest loudest tantrum I have ever heard! He was upset with everyone and kept yelling that he was the damn owner and he could throw everyone out if he wanted to! The place was busy and he did not want to deal with the crowd. He just kept yelling and cursing! What an ass! Customers (including my family) just got up and walked out, nearly emptying the place! DO NOT give this man your business, he is an absolute jerk!

We stopped here to eat lunch on our way through New Hampshire - the only stop we ended up making btw. We had to wait to even be acknowledged for 15 minutes. Once seated, we ordered shortly then after waiting at a table for nearly 45 minutes the cook/owner started yelling at his waitresses! He was yelling because there were too many orders for him to make. It was nearly 1:30 and they close at 2pm and he kept yelling that he was the owner and he could kick everyone out. The place was packed and we all fell silent as he raged. He yelled for at least 5 minutes be fore we walked out. We ended up leaving without getting to eat and I will never go back there!

Pros: unique atmosphere

Cons: Cranky owner

This place was recommended by a neighbor who had been there last summer, and it was even better than he said it was. Atmophere here is perfect, rustic wood interior w/antiques all around. Service was excellent food came out fast and cooked perfectly,my wife has a "thing" about having her poached egg a certain way,she told the waitress and it came out exactly as requested, this RARELY happens most times it gets sent back a couple times before it's right --hats off to the chef. Speaking of the food the pancakes were as big as a platter,4 strips of bacon, 3 eggs, 4 sausage, the best hash browns ever and thick toast AND I ordered hash ( my favorite) let me tell you I was sooo full that I barely touched the hash and left way too much on the plate which I NEVER do. Can you even imagine the bill for 4 was less than $28. If this place was in New York I'd eat every meal there. Oh yeah try the fudge it's made right there w/unique flavors like PB andJelly and creamsicle and it's to die for.
