I have been a customer of Hunters for over 10 years. I have found the owners Jerry and Sally to be very courteous and helpful. I value have the convenience of having them in town. With the price of gas I find myself shopping there more frequently and save money by not driving 20 min. to a larger grocer.

Understandably, in a small community like this, businesses turn to low-wage underage help and higher prices in order to survive. Hunter's IGA has traditionally been one of the mainstays for teens seeking employment. While I believe this is important, I cringe every time I go in here. The cashiers look bored, don't smile, don't make eye contact, and are generally unfriendly. The shelves are crowded, tall, and confusing. The crammed-in attempt to improve selection results in a flea-market feel. The salad bar is often covered in flies. Prices border on extortion, but thankfully more reasonably-priced stores are cropping up every year. Oh and not only is parking horrendous, but you take your life in your hands.
