To get my review started, I had visited the Space Center about a year and a half ago, to check it out for my son's upcoming birthday party. I was not impressed at first sight with the overall appeal of the facility. It seemed sort of run down. I was also unimpressed with the fact that everything needed a separate ticket purchase (the rides, fun house, etc.) At the time, a lot of the token games were out of order also. I again visited the Space Center today for a friend's birthday. We went there solely with the intention of playing 30 minutes of laser tag (we live 40 minutes away). So my friend phoned them several times to find out how the schedule was running for laser tag. We got there with ample time to fill out waiver forms and be ready to go for the next round. As we stood there waiting to be let in, we were informed that we missed it and would have to wait another 30 minutes to play. (A coincidence, I think not. How else would you get people to buy tokens to play the games?) At any rate, in the 30 minute 'layover', my son misplaced his laser tag voucher while playing games. I informed the teenage workers at the desk and they referred me to the, not much older, manager. They were clearly aware that we had purchased a certain number of tickets and we had the receipt stating so. The manager informed me that he really should have 'hung on' to his laser tag voucher. I thanked him for clearing up the obvious and that he would not have been playing games if we had gotten into the laser tag when we were supposed to.Long story, longer, he convinced me that if he didn't have my son's voucher at the end of the night, he would have to pay the $15 from his own pocket. So, in the end, I purchased another $15 ticket and went away wondering what purpose the computer system that printed vouchers and receipts of purchase served. I don't have a degree in business management, but I thought that in the 21st century, we didn't rely on paper receipts to cash out at the end of the business day. I wonder if McDonald's keeps all of their receipts?

I recently visited the Space Center with my two children. It gets expensive. Although, the employees are polite the manager can't speak english very well and is very rude. My kids enjoyed it, but avoid the lady at the booth where you can attain change.

PROS: Kids enjoy it
CONS: Expensive, and Bad Management

I recently took a trip with 75 kids to Space Center and they loved it. They enjoyed playing all the games and they didn't want to leave at the end. It is definetly a place to bring the kids for a good time.

Space center has games for all ages and a play area for the little ones. I do find that it can be quite expensive as some of the games take upwards of $1 each. They do have a large selection of prizes and good ticket pay out.

PROS: Something for all ages
CONS: Can get too expensive
