Birch Hill Pet Crematorium

I brought my 2 dogs here on two seperate occasions and both times I was very dissatisfied. I gave them printed instructions on their feeding times. On one 5 day stay I brought 5 cans of their food and their special treats. When I picked them up there were 4 cans not opened and all their treats were still in their bag. It was Thanksgiving and it was clear that they were totally forgotten and were extremely stressed when I picked them up. Against my better judgement I dicided to give this place another chance....bad decision. They charged me $20 per day to brush them and was never given a price and THEY WERE MATTED WHEN I PICKED THEM UP! I sent them with a very expensive bedding ($55) and was told that they don't have it and didn't recall my bringing it in. Obviously they either wanted to keep it or gave it to someone else. Either way I never got their bedding back and it cost me an extra $175!!! Needless to say my dogs were very happy to see me and I will never take them there again.

Maybe it was the weekend I brought one of my dogs there, but I couldn't get over the smell when I walked in. It had been very humid so I thought it was the weather because I smelled things that I didn't usually smell even at my home. They weren't mean, but they weren't very friendly either. I noticed that when I picked up my dog the person had a spray bottle with them and actually sprayed my dog with a deodorizer before bringing him out. I was not impressed at all and wouldn't board again there.

I have used this business for dog grooming only and honestly I would not feel right having my dog spend the night at the kennel. I haven't heard anyhting bad about the place, I just didn't get a feeling that the owner really cared about my dog when I brought her there for grooming. The person I dealt with was very gruff with my dog and even though my dog normally loves everyone wanted nothing to do with this person. It was hard to leave my dog there for her grooming. We haven't been back since.
