So this is a mixed review. From Great Customer Service:

I purchased our domestic long-haired at Family Pet and had a wonderful experience. The gentleman who was working at the store during that time was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to assist us and answer any and all of our questions. Out cat, popcorn :) is a joy to be around and we were happy with her purchase.

To Poor customer service:

So...fast forward a year....my family and i decided to purchase another cat. This time, there are three women working at the facility. The two older women behind the counter couldnt be more curt if they tried. Their answers were short and they seemed bothered by everything my daughter (19 years old) and i did. Making comments like "oh, that was a short visit" when we put one of the cats back and yelling at us to put hand sanitizer on afterward! I have nothing against sanitizer, i just feel as though they could have mentioned it upon our entry to the store when i notified them that i was interested in purchasing a kitten and asked if i could view a few. Upon making my decision i walked to the front desk and notified them. I then asked about the large parrot that i've seen in the back on a few occasions only to be told (once again in a bothered tone) "he went home".

Unfortunately, my kitten was not ready and i was informed that i would have to wait until Friday as the kittens had to be released by the vet. Okay...no problem. When i called today and informed them of same and attempted to verify what time i should arrive at the store, I was told "the store is open from 10-9". Nice to know the store hours, but that did not answer my question so i had to simplify it by asking whether or not the cat would have its vet clearance by opening time.This was followed by another curt answer "yes" and a dial tone. Nice.

Not sure on the kitty yet. If my last cat is any indication then i'm sure our new kitty will be fine. However, the customer service at family pet could use an overhaul. Good/professional customer service ensures repeat service. Curtness and attitude ensures nothing.

First of all, shame on all that bought a dog at a pet store. Haven't you heard of puppy mills and how they are mistreated and have diseases? Shame on you for not adopting or getting from a reputable breeder instead.

My family just bought a puppy from there over the weekend and they have been fantastic!! I will never buy a puppy from anywhere else! They even called me to check on the puppy to make sure she was adjusting well! They did not mind when I brought my 5 small kids into the store to find our new family member! I am very happy with my purchase. As for the price, it was a little high but you get what you pay for and for us it was well worth the cost. We LOVE our little princess!!!

we purchased a cocker spaniel king cavalier mix we were told it would be about 18 lbs - I called spoke with the owner and told her our puppy at 5 months is huge, I questioned the mix and was told they don't guarantee anything! um we paid a small fortune for this pup, we do love her, we don't want to return her but I thought she should refund a portion of the cost as we obv did not get the dog we thought we did. Complete lack of concern & absolutely no integrity. I told her several times my call to her was to give her the opportunity to make it right, but only received a ton of excuses and a lecture that I should have done my homework. I offered to bring our puppy up but she said that was not needed because she was not going to do anything. Just thought I'd share my experience!

I have puchased 4 dogsfrom this store. All of them are the best additions to our family. My oldest is 6 and my youngest is 2. I wouldn't buy from anyone else. They take great care of their animals. They are clean. Most important, they are helpful. Their staff has great ability to problem solve and they have creative solutions to common problems.I buy all my supplies there and have special ordered with little hassle.

I hope that people out there take the time to read this before buying anything from this company! My fmaily purchased one of their dogs they claimed was completely healthy and within 72 hrs it started vomiting and DIED 6 days from purchase...moreover, they claimed it was OUR fault..as if our family wasn't already dealing with the most emotionally traumatizing week we ever went through!! Well, nobody is perfect,but this store comes close. I had been looking for a puppy for a long time. I even got scammed on the internet and lost $500. Stupid me! I came across their charming web site and was so impressed. I drove two hours to see their puppies. The biggest problem I had was choosing one-I wanted them all. Their puppies where so happy and healthy and clean. They are in large cages with no grates and lots of toys. The employees seem to really love them. I finally decided on a Shih Tzu. She is the love of my life. Stacy took great care in making sure I took care of her properly. I highly recomend this store.
