We love Moonlite Kennel!!!!! We have been doing business with them for 15 years. I know my dog is safe and happy when we leave her there!

My dogs have been vacationing at Moonlite Kennels for over 10 years and I have never had a problem of any kind. It was obvious from the very first time we used Moonlite Kennels that Scott, Lisa & staff are "animal people" . I had never kennelled my dog before and was kind of nervous but Scott was very reassuring and gave her a cookie and a kiss on the muzzle as I left her in his care! Over the years they have always been very helpful and considerate with all my pets (and my) needs. I live in southern NH and usually am staying in the lakes region when I use Moonlite Kennels but I am so comfortable leaving my dogs that I travelled the 80 miles to Tilton last year before I flew out Boston for a family reunion in Arizona. The cozy country atmosphere is a big plus too. At our house we call it "going to doggie camp" and Daisy & Crissy are always ready to go. Thanks, Moonlite

Moonlight Kennels was a totally positive experience for my dog. I was pleased with the owner's concern about my dog's comfort - refused to let me leave him in a harness as he wanted Cosmo to be comfortable and assured me they had suitable leads for Cosmo there. This was a switch from an experience I'd had with a different boarding facility where the owner refused to deal with taking harnesses off and on and insisted that the harness remain on the dog while he was there. At Moonlight Kennels, the owner said, "He should not have to wear that 24 hours a day. We can take care of him safely." Although each dog has a run attached to their kennel, they are also each taken to an exercise area, a much larger run 4 times per day. The dogs have plenty of room to move around, get fresh air and best of all, they can see and smell other dogs but do not get into trouble with each other as they are separated by chain link fence. Since Cosmo always gets a daily walk at home, I decided to pay the small, optional fee for him to have an individual walk on a leash while there. I only hesitated because I have had experiences at other kennels where I paid extra to have meds administered, only to have the meds handed back to me untouched when I picked up my dog. So when I agreed to pay for an extra walk for Cosmo, I hoped it would actually happen. When I picked Cosmo up, it was very clear that he had indeed been walked, because although he was happy to see me, he ran right off to greet other dogs, check his favorite spots in the compound and so on. It was clear to me that he knew his way around and was very comfortable there. Nicely enough, the entire boarding area was enclosed by larger fence, so there was no danger of him running off somewhere (I had forgotten to bring his leash in and when he was let out of his kennel, he greeted me and then ran off to have his walk, with or without me. This is something he did at home once, too)
I was very, very comfortable with the entire experience and would not hesitate to bring my dog there again. It was clean, he was clearly happy and well-treated there. I only wish it was closer to where I live so I could take him there exclusively. ( I live in Massachusetts.)

I was very worried about leaving my 8 month old German Shepherd at a kennel for the very first time, but felt extremely comfortable after meeting Scott, Lisa, & Michelle. My pup was very well taken care of, and seemed to adjust very quickly! I am extremely pleased and will bring her back there every time I come back to the Tilton area! Beautiful area, very clean, safe, and plenty of space / shelter for dogs! Very caring & knowledgeable staff! I was there daily to pick up & drop off my dog...enough to observe how good they are with animals! :)

I have been boarding my animals at Moonlite Kennels for nearly 10 years. I have two German shepherds that love this place. They are always happy to go and visit the other dogs. Scott and his wife are great people and really love dogs. While we are traveling and staying at the Holiday Inn our dogs are staying at the Howl-a-day Inn.

Their grooming services are also the best. Take your dogs in during shedding season and the shedding hair is gone.

I have two akitas who hate to be left behind and they most people are afraid of them even though they are quite gentle. Its a szie thing..the dogs are huge. So I had used the same kennel for the dogs up until last year. Then I tried moonlite. The owners are very nice and love dogs. They took great care of my dogs and really paid attention to what I told them about the dogs personalities and needs. Its not a fancy place with dog gyms etc. but its a caring safe place to leave your pets when you have to travel without them.
