I've been there about 4 times, pleased each time, has a small cozy comfortable feel, people are very friendly, know when to be there asking for more drinks, when to ask how everything is, and what to suggest also.
I decided to bring a date there, and this is where it gets awesome. She's a picky eater, gluten allergy, and also a vegan (so quite skinny), here is the best part, she was looking at the menu for a god 8-10 min with a few suggestions, but not quite "what" she loved. She asked if they could sorta mix two things up with a special type sauce not on the menu, I was expecting a no... but the cook came out 2 minutes later (with Chef attire on), spoke to my date to be sure what she would love to have, with a smile I note), she gave the biggest smile ever saying, that was sooooo impressive how they cared. It only got better with her food being pretty much the best she has had (for quick made-up) that's impressive.
My dish was cooked to perfection and the night went perfect from there thanks to the food portion going superb.
Totally give this place 11 stars on a 5 star level.
PS: Try their homemade pastas (my favorite)

My wife and I invited another couple to join us at The Way We Cook in Manchester after hearing about the great review TV Diner gave them.

The way we cook might be fine, but the way we run a restaurant is horrible!

We arrived on time for our 6:30 reservation on a Saturday. The restaurant was less than half full. We were seated immediately at a corner window table.

We were assured Peter, our waiter, would be with us shortly, but we never saw him in the 45 minutes we were in the restaurant. I got up and went to the hostess and explained that we hadn't had a waiter come to the table yet. The hostess said she'd get our waiter but apparently she couldn't find him either. Instead she took our drink order. We waved her down again ten minutes later and placed an appetizer order through the hostess.

The appetizers made it out of the kitchen but were taken to every table in the restaurant except ours and returned to the kitchen! It was almost comical as we waved our arms and said "I think those are for us." It was as if there were a force field around our table and no one could see or hear us. Even the hostess could not get through to the wait staff. A table for two near us empathized and shook their heads in amazement.

We got up to leave - still having not met Peter, the mysterious waiter. We asked to see the manager but were told the manager was too busy cooking to help up resolve our issues.

Never have we ever received such deplorable service in any restaurant. Avoid this restaurant - it will not be in business much longer.

After we left, we drove to and called other Manchester downtown restaurants and they were fully booked. The Way We Cook was the only restaurant half full.

PS - We drove down to Nashua and went to Michael Timothy's. We were able to grab a table in the Jazz Bar and had a great dinning experience with service to match

Pros: The food might be good but we would never know.

Cons: The service was the worst!
