I agree with Jay S. When I went here for prom I had the WORST experience of my life. I asked my guy to give me rosy make up and he gave me green eyeliner and green and brown eyeshadow. He wouldn't even let me look at it until he was done because he said he liked doing it better that way. Rosy is the complete opposite of what he gave me. Then he had another customer walk in and was working at both of us at the same time. I asked him for romantic waves and he brushed out my frizzy curly hair and put hairspray in. Any hairstylist and anyone with curly hair knows that you can't just brush it out. My experience was horrible and I was late. It was miserable and I would never ever go there again.
to Jay S, why didn't you call the owner and at least get your money back? Makes no sense that you would need to go through that without getting something in return. also, i think what happened to you sucked but, whats up with putting the other guy on blast. he had nothing to do with you and you knew nothing about him. sophmoric. I was the girl you were talking to and for the record my guy was coming in on his day off to do my hair. please do not incorporate me with your bad experience. i have been going to my guy for 8 years...he would never let me leave unhappy. guess you just got the wrong guy. peace
I can honestly say I've never been so disgusted with a hair salon, ever. The hair stylist I had was extremely unprofessional and over scheduled himself. I had an appointment for hair and makeup for my high school prom. I made the appointment for both those things weeks before I went in. When I got there, the stylist told me he didn't have enough time to do the curly updo I wanted. Instead, he tried simply twisting it and making it a 'youthful' updo...I could've done what he tried doing to my hair myself.
I was a wreck when I found out my hair couldn't be done, and was angry that my stylist didn't have an hour to do my hair the way I wanted. No good hair salon hires people like that. So, I decided to do my hair myself and had him do my makeup. I looked HIDEOUS!
He didn't ask how I wanted my makeup...and he caked my face. I wanted natural makeup, but he never asked me and started doing my makeup...and he was RUSHING. I had black smokey eyes (which looked terrible) and he didn't even put my foundation on evenly because he was rushing. He didn't blend anything in, I had too much bronzer on, and he didn't cover my acne which I thought a makeup artist would do. As soon as I left and ran into my mom, she made sure to rush me to a makeup stand in the mall to have it re-done. Even the women at the stands, who did my makeup for free, were completely disgusted and were even laughing at my makeup.
I got my hair done at a different salon and had my makeup redone, and it looked great...but I was too late for pictures and was late to my prom. Terramagra was the worst salon I have ever been to and I would NEVER go there. I'll always talk badly about it from now on. Don't go there unless you want to look like a clown and leave unsatisfied.
Terramagra salon is unprofessional, and never confirmed my appointment. The secretary was never there, and the other stylist's client, who was there with me, was waiting 20 minutes for him to come in. When I left, his client was still waiting and complaining to my own stylist. Never go there.
I had the best hair stylist here. I got an amazing hair style that I abosultely loved. I told the stylist what I wanted, and she made suggestion to spice it up a bit which I was either allowed to agree to or deny. It was MY hair and MY choice. A lot of other hair stylists say "Oh, I'm just going to do this" without consent, but this place was very professional, and made sure they listened to my needs, because, ultimately, I would be the one walking around with the hair style for the next few months. Very nice staff all across the board
PROS: Nice, professional, got what I wanted
i am now at My Stylist in North Hampton
