Extremely satisfied with the quality care

by Kerry G.

This is actually the first time I have ever written a review of anything on the internet, but Dr. Feltz deserves to be recognized for the quality care he provides. I actually just walked in the office yesterday without an appointment to see if, my chance, he had time to see my boyfriends's new 12 week old kitten for an initial consult. He saw the kitten that afternoon and diagnosed her with a diaphragmatic hernia. He was personable and compassionate, and provided the kitten quality care with the diagnosis. I thought that the cost of the initial eval, immunization and x-ray was quite reasonable (being a medical professional myself, I know what it costs to keep a clinic running). Thanks to Dr. Feltz, kitty will soon be seen for a surgical consult by a specialist in MA. I completely lucked out by deciding to stop at the vet clinic with no previous knowledge of vets in the area. Thanks!

Caring Hands Animal Hospital is the BEST!!!

by Kathleen E.

I LOVE everyone at Caring Hands Animal Hospital, and our animals have been patients there for many years now.

They have been with us through good times and bad. When our dog was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer a few years ago, they were so kind and compassionate. They sent us a sympathy card and made a donation in his name, which was such a pleasant surprise at such a sad time for our family.

Last summer, Dr. Feltz diagnosed our puppy with Addison's disease (we thought she was dying, and she would have if not properly diagnosed), and now each month we go in for her shot. Dr. Feltz shopped around for the best price for her shot and I feel confident that we are truly getting the best price.

I have told all of my friends with pets and they are thrilled with the recommendation. Top notch vet care from a loving and compassionate group of people. I highly recommend Dr. Feltz and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Feltz is far more superior than any other vet in the area

by tonda g.

Hi there, My name is Tonda, I used to live in Manchester and had a special needs cat, Krash, Dr Feltz was awsome helping to keep her comfotable and she had 4 years of great life even after being hit by a car and pelvis broken,, she healed wonderfuly and only needed lactolose to help with plumbing, when she passed away, I adopted a cat Florence at the manchester shelter and this was in 2002, i am happy to say florence is still with me, although fatter (sigh) and have 2 other cats, anyone out there having issues with vet, go see Dr Feltz, 1st class treatment. He was great with Krash after that horrible accident-and use home remedies for health issues instead of pricey man made drugs, then to me that is more than enough since other vets seem to charge a ton of money and get little for it. Thank you Dr. Feltz, I still think you are the best vet even after dealing with 4 vets out here where I live and the thing that turns me off the most, is the $50 fee just to look at the animal, never mind the vaccines double priced than the petco vaccines..thank you Dr. Feltz!!

A god send for Feral kitties !!! True Kitty Angel !!!

by d n.

I do feline hospice care and am grateful to have found Dr. Feltz in 2002. He is the only Veterinarian that handles frightened "Ferals" using blankets. He uses a soft voice and covers their bodies and heads so they feel snuggled and safe ! This simple act creates a less frightening experience for the wild ones and calms them in the process - simple ! If Dr. Feltz and his team are able to do so, there is no excuse for other professionals not to try.

Those of us who know Dr. Feltz are familiar with his basic/compassionate skills. Only "bone head" clinics resort to using large frightening gloves to handle creatures who are terrified of humans to begin with - no wonder the animals are scared out of their wits!!

I learned to use the "soft blankee" technique from his clinic - and can handle/medicate my fairly wild ones very well, so that they too can have a chance at life - THANK YOU DR. FELTZ !!

Dr. Feltz understands and addresses the sensibility of ALL animals and treats each one as if they are very special and matter, whether they are Feral, wildlife or domestic.

Very compassionate !

I tried other vets and came back to Dr. Feltz

by Christine W.

My kitty Buddy had asthma and I tried more local area vets near Windham and I found that he wasn't getting the proper care or the correct meds. When I brought in my cat the Doctor confirmed that he was indeed getting the wrong meds. I am so glad I went back to this vet. They also helped me with finding the best costing meds in the process, they did not limit me to only buying meds there as other vets do.
They also helped me out with an emergency visit with my kitty Chloe and saw her right away and she ended up being just fine and it didn't cost me 800 dollars like at the Manchester Emergency Hospital what a total rip off they are!

Wonderful Vet and staff

by Brittany P.

My family got our very first puppy 3 years ago and we were having a really hard time finding a vet for her to go to. At that point caring hands was not taking any new pets but amazingly enough made an exception for our beautiful boxer bailey. Dr. Feltz's staff knows bailey the second she walks in and bailey is so excited when she goes there she has to give all the girls kisses. With her being our first puppy we brought her in for everything that we thought was out of the norm soemthing as simple as a little heat rash on her belly or allergies to something a little more serious like some head tremors (which turned out to be an inner ear infection) Dr. Feltz and his staff were always SO patient and understanding and answered every one of our questions thoroughly, also with all of our little visits the prices don't break the bank which is great. I would never recommend another Vet to anyone we even just started bringing our new kitten!!! Thanks to caring hands for making our pets happy and healthy!

Professional and caring Vet

by irene m.

I started with Dr Feltz 9yrs ago. We had 2 Maine Coon's. Dr Feltz was always willing to listen. At one point he gave us a separate # to contact him (our female was very ill). Last week we had to let our 16 1/2 yr old go I called the office and they were very sympathetic. (Thank you Kathy for calling Mops friend she would want to know he is watching over us). We got a hand written sympathy note from Dr Tim after both passed. I will keep in contact with the office even without having any animals in our lives.

Dr. Feltz is an awesome Vet

by Stacey S.

Dr Feltz and the staff at Caring Hands are great people and do an amazing job. I have been going there for the last 4 years and have never have had a bad experience. My dog has a lot of issues (hip dysplasia, allergies, ear infections, ear Hematomato name a few) so I am a frequent customer and Dr. Feltz is always honest and speaks to me in terms I understand. He also makes my dog feel as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend Caring Hands/Dr. Feltz to anyone who is not satisfied with their current vet or that is planning on purchasing/adopting a new pet.

ASTONISHING VETERINARIAN

by Anonymous

Dr. Timothy Feltz is an amazing veterinarian for everything he has done for my dogs. I would trust Dr. Feltz to take care of me more than I would my own Physician. I can always call and expect a call back very shortly. He even calls during his own lunch. Caring Hands continues to impress me more and more each visit. It would never even come to my mind to seek a new vet. Thank you Caring Hands for everything you have done for my pups.

Everyone that is rating Caring Hands low needs to realize vets have bad days too or a phone message might have been misplaced on accident. Use common sense no one is perfect. Give a few breaks every now and then and realize how busy Vets are and how knoledgable they have to be to know how every animals organisms work.

Dr. Feltz is the BEST!

by Anonymous

I have been bringing my cat to Dr. Feltz for 9 years. During this period I have added another cat and two older dogs ( that we just recently lost ) and they all have been Dr. Feltz's patients.Even now, living 45 minutes away, I still travel to bring them and my new addition a pug-puppy to Dr. Feltz. He is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. He always answers all my questions and addresses my concerns. His staff calls you back the same day, and calls or sends you cards with the reminders of upcoming appointments. I am absolutely sure that my pets are well taken care of when they are in his care and I hope that he will continue treating pets forever since I believe it is his God's given gift.

4 years later & I still LOVE Dr. Feltz

by Denise B.

I can only say wonderful things about Dr. Feltz.

He has always examined my pets thoroughly and he has always provided top quality service despite his busy schedule and long hours.

Recently, my cat broke his jaw and Dr. Feltz saw him immediately. The requisite surgery was performed that day. To my surprise and delight, the bill was far less than I expected it to be. My cat is healing beautifully and Dr. Feltz answered my subsequent questions on the day that I called them in.

I am 100% satisfied

World Class care and love for my yellow lab~ from Dr Tim Feltz

by Anonymous

It didnt surprise me when Dr Feltz answered my questions over the phone about our yellow lab, even when we moved 1700 miles away. He's that kind of Doctor. He has also said we could give Sam stew or other people food (healthy of course) to mix in his normal food (iams). He told me plain yogurt would help with his diarhea one time, and pink pepto for him when he ate something he shouldn't have (twigs). He is a happy, healthy dog. Dr F is not out to just make a buck off of everyone and is not quick to prescribe costly meds like so many other Drs. He believes in home remedies first. He truly cares and has tons of common sense. So as you can imagine, Sam loves Dr Feltz and is excited to go there. He gets world class care from everyone involved when he goes there. When we moved back to the area, there was no question who would be his vet.

Very Unhappy

by Anonymous

I usually am very satisfied with my experiences when I go to Caring hands, I even travel quite a ways to go there. I went to Dr. Fletz recently and was very unhappy with the whole experience. I was told the visit would cost appox. 80 dollars and it ended up being closer to 130 dollars for medication and the prices I was quoted turned out to be higher and the examine lasted a whole 5 minutes, I felt it was rushed and not even a complete examine, I don't mind paying the money because I love my animals the only problem is I paid money and my dog is STILL not feeling better! I asked if the problem could be something other that what Dr. Feltz original thought and have yet to hear back from him. This makes me quite discouraged. I thought I had found the vet I would have for as long as I needed a vet but after my last visit I am seriously begining to question that decision. It really makes me very sad. I thought that the women who posted about her golden was a little harsh at first but now I don't know, I feel my experience was simular to hers(and just so no one says "it would help if you actually brought your dog to the vet" I did and I do) I really hope the next visit is better or I might be looking for a new vet and that breaks my heart.

Best Vet. Period.

by Jess D.

My name is Jessica and I have been working with Dr. Feltz since I was 11 years old and even followed him from practice to practice. I am now 21 and I can tell you he is a incredible vet. He is very knowledgable and up to date with new treatments. His services are also very well priced, and he will help you with cost anyway he can. If you are looking for a vet Dr. Feltz is your man!

Df. Feltz is the best!

by natasha b.

We have been taking our Bichon Frise there for four years, our guinean pigs there for three years and our shih tzu there for one year and we absolutly love Dr. Feltz. One of our guinea pigs needed a surgery for a tumor to be removed, but it came at a hard time for us. Dr. Feltz didn't think twice before telling us we could pay for it when we got the money, and when we did get the bill he charged us a fair price. My sister switched vets and now regrets ever leaving, she said her vet overchargers her and makes up test that her pet needs. Dr. Feltz has never done that to us, he listens to us no matter how many questions we ask and always calls back personally if you have a question, he is a very compasionate and caring person. I think he named his practice accorddingly "caring hands" Thank you Dr. Feltz.

Our first visit was awesome!!!!!!

by Sarah L.

I'm fairly new to NH and as of so far, have not found a vet I've been comfortable with, or really trusted with my girls (Dakota & Avri). Dr. Feltz is the BEST! He listened to every concern I had without making me feel rushed or unimportant, and was genuinely concerned for my animals welfare. Thank you Dr. Feltz and staff for a wonderful trip to the vet!

I LOVE Dr Feltz & his staff

by Denise B.

I have only the best to say about Dr Feltz & his staff. Dr Feltz takes the time to really examine his patients & he works very long hours, always with a cheerful attitude. Dr Feltz is the Manchester animal shelter vet so I went to him 3 years ago when I adopted my leukemia kitties. So far, with holistic food from Food for Pets, and Dr Feltz's care, my cats are as healthy as any non-leukemia cats. Recently, I brought a stray to Dr Feltz with no notice, for neutering, shots, worming, etc. Dr Feltz fit Bandit into his busy schedule. I absolutely recommend Dr Feltz!

Wildlife Rescue At It's Best

by Linda R.

My puppy decided to celebrate his 1st Birthday by capturing our friendly Chipmunk, "Chippy", in our backyard. Chippy was a little worn from the experience and in need of some TLC by a professional, yet no one, including the "Wildlife Rescue League" in our local area would look at him. In searching all local vet's only one, and I am serious - Only ONE, would take the time to help. Caring Hands said, "Come on in!", they trimmed Chippy's chewed tail, treated his eye and gave him some meds. to help with the healing process. I sit here watching Chippy resting comfortably giving himself a bath and Thanking this local vet for truly giving "Caring Hands" in my friends recovery. Because of them my friend will be around to enjoy another visit to my window on my deck. THANK YOU CARING HANDS YOU ARE VERY APPRECIATED!!!!!

We LOVE Dr. Feltz

by Anonymous

We have always had 3 cats and we've had our share of vets. Dr. Feltz is BY FAR the most competent, caring vet we have seen.

We had a very sick kitty (cancer) and Dr. Feltz even gave us his home phone number incase our cat took a turn for the worse.

He is a wonderful person and Dr.!

Caring Hands Animal Hospital

by Megan F.

Re: Woman with Golden. Next time you write a review it would be helpful to have actually seen the Vet. As I've been a client for 6 years and have a golden, who is just over 6, I can assure you Dr. Feltz is world class with diagnosis and treatment. He has, in 6 years, never had a negative word about breeds. My mom, my brother, two of my sisters and my neighbor all come to him. Awesome!

PROS: A DVM with ethics in his heart instead of dollar signs in his eyes
CONS: Wish he could be cloned so he could see more clients.

Golden Retrievers aren't very smart!!

Brought my Golden puppy here and was told by the vet that Golden's are not very smart. Also misdiagnosed cataracts. Seems to be more knowledgable with cats than with dogs.

PROS: centrally located
CONS: very small
