I am not a big review writer but my experience was so different then a couple of these reviews that I felt it would be unjust to keep quiet.

I'm 36. I've always gone to the dentist but after not keeping regular checkups for about 4 years my normal hygiene skills failed me. I had a cavity that I ignored and it was not until that same tooth cracked a tooth that I felt the urge to do anything. My first instinct was to look for someone who would take an emergency. Another general dentist in the area said I'd have to transfer records and go through a full exam for $300. When I called Main Street Dental they offered me the same exam for under $40. I then got my procedure scheduled for the very next morning and was extremely impressed. The hygienist (very gentle) also did what was called a debridement. This is like a deep clean that was necessary because I did not keep my appointment. THIS cost me money and was not covered by my insurance but it really was my own fault. After my appointment they worked with me to create a cleaning schedule that complied with my dental plan and the front desk electronically filed my claim even though they were not a provider for my insurance.

My experience was so different than what the other buyer beware types that I'm more suspect now of whether they were trying to skip out on a bill or simply failed to ask questions. .

I visted the office for the 1st time today, and I was very taken back by how friendly and caring everyone in the office was. I had not been to a dentist in many years and the work that the lady had to do must have been difficult, but she did it with a smile on her face. I didn't get a lecture on how bad the build up was or why did I wait so long. They cared that I was there now. My teeth are so clean all the build up has been removed. I do have to go back for deep route scaling (no ones fault but my own) but I am going back and will feel relaxed knowing I am in good caring hands! Thank you Main Street Dental.

Everyone at this office was very friendly and helpful; however, they seemed very eager to get my money! I was told that I should buy Invisi-line (I have not a single crooked tooth!) for several thousand dollars, and a custom night guard for about $500 (because somehow, although I sleep with my mouth open, I apparently grind my teeth at night). They also did this weird "charting" of my gum lines that they charged me extra for, and that my insurance didn't pay. Luckily, I have moved frequently and have been to many dentists, so I did not take their recommendations to heart. My previous dentists have not only never mentioned any type of braces, but actually complimented my naturally straight teeth! Everyone was very nice and, yes, the office is clean, but I have a feeling that the staff is encouraged to make costly recommendations to unsuspecting patients.

No narcotic pain reliever prescriptions (Percocet, Vicoden, codeine, etc.) will be written for toothaches for first time patients. This personal policy of mine has not changed in several years. If you request them, you will be denied. No judgement of individuals are made or implied, it is simply that I believe that this leads to better health of patients, their families, and society. Respectfully, John M. Messinger II, D.D.S.

This office offers high tech dental experience. I like the fact that they ask you to wear booties over your shoes in the Winter. This helps keep the office clean for all patients. They are a wonderful dental office. The staff and the doctor I found to be very caring with a wonderful chair side manner. I have recommended this office to family and friends. I would not recommend listening to the bad review as they did not ever have the confront to have their name listed as someone wrote the review.

I can not recommend this dentist. I questions their ethics. I found C/ Service to be bossy and all about money, ie: how much can they get out of you. They seem more concerned about keeping the carpets clean. They actually made customers wear paper booty shoes to keep the rugs clean. !! Very expensive and no bedside manner. Look elsewhere.
