Brushwood Veterinary Clinic

While Dr. Guischard handles animals with care and has a pleasant bedside manner, I found his partner in the practice, Dr. Lawson, to be rude and cold to my pet. He ignored me the entire appointment, and did not speak one word to my pet while examining him. After the examination, he neglected to say anything to me regarding my pet's health. I had to introduce myself at the END of the appointment. He was brisk and abrupt in his response. Luckily, the vet assistant was extremely kind and helpful, which helped make my pet feel more comfortable.

I had my first really pleasant experience at an animal hospital the moment I stepped into Brushwood. The entire staff is kind and friendly. They sit and talk to you and actually know what they are talking about. Plus they are affordable!

I love them! I recommend them to everyone.

I have been going to Brushwood with my dogs for three years. Everyone there is warm and friendly and it is obvious they truly LOVE animals. Dr. Guischard is knowlegeable and provides excellent care and advice and has successfully diagnosed and treated one of our dogs who has had several out of the ordinary issues . I have never had a problem with parking. Brushwood treats you like family and they provide excellent care at very reasonable prices.

About 6 years ago my mini poodle developed hind leg pain. For over 24 years I had been taking all my animals to a very well known hospital in our state. When my vet told me nothing could be done, I went searching for hospitals that COULD. A friend told me about Brushwood Veterinary Hospital. I made an appointment, and have never turned back. My poodle's both hind legs were operated on and 6 years later at the age of 15, his legs are doing well. The staff is excellent and caring and Dr. Joe is always on top of things. I have sent other dogs with problems to Brushwood and they have all commented on what an excellent Animal Hospital it is and that they would continue, as I do, to make the drive, it's well worth it. On top of the great care, the appointments are on time, the parking is great and I have all I can do to keep my dogs from pulling me into the office. They LOVE to go see Dr. Joe and the Staff of Brushwood. (Oh and the prices are very reasonable as well)! Odie, Axel, Emily, and Lynne R.

All I can say about this veterinary clinic is that they are the BEST around my area. I highly recommend people who are looking for personal care for their favorite pet is to go to Brushwood Veterinary Clinic. From Dr. Joe, Robin, Wendy, Crystal and Jen, they are the best. I just read some of the the reviews and let me tell you that their prices are so reasonable compared to other veterinary clinics. I have never had a problem with the parking and NEVER had a problem with any appointment times. Dr. Joe never rushes you out and will sit and listen to all your concerns. When one of my pets are hurting and I take them home the following day I get a call from Dr. Joe or one of the girls checking up on our animals. TRIPLE THUMBS UP FOR BRUSHWOOD VETERINARY CLINIC. I tell people all the time to go to Brushwood for the best care for your animals.

I am new to this area and have visited this place back in May as a recommendation from a friend. I have been to a number of vets and and have been happy with them but my friend insisted that I give Brushwood a try.

After my visit there, I have found the facility to be difficult to get into as it is sometimes crowded for parking, however the staff is pleasant. I thought the owner 'Joe' to be too business like and not as personable as those I have been to in the past. I was not too happy how he handled my dog; the animal seemed to be under stress. I also found his prices were higher than others.

If I did not go on my friends recommendation, she would continue to haunt me until I did. Thankfully I can tell her what I thought and that I believe there are better providers out there.

I have been going to DR Joe for a few years and have been so pleased with his service and all the girls who work for him. I never fel rushed, he always takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns. I would never change vets-ever

We've been taking our 2 labs here for years and, like most of the other clients, we think it's well worth it. The staff is caring and compassionate, and Dr. Guischard is just as concerned for the owners as he is for his patients. If you want your animal cared for by folks who treat them as well as they would their own pets, you can't do any better than Brushwood!

We have been going to Brushwood Vet for years, and we love them! The place is clean, the staff is great, and the doctors are wonderful. (Don't listen to the few bad reviews- some people are never happy.) We have never had any trouble parking, the dog walking area is isolated and picked up regularly, and the staff treats us like family. I wouldn't bring my cats anywhere else.

I had to switch vets when I moved, so I tried Brushwood. I took my old dog and new puppy there, and I was very pleased. I wanted an appointment for 4:00 on Wednesday. That spot was taken, so they put me in a little earlier, and got me right in and out. The care was great, and the staff was very nice. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an excellent vet.

WHAT DOG LEAPS OUT OF THE CAR AND CAN'T GET INTO THE VET OFFICE FAST ENOUGH? BEEFEATER IS TREATED LIKE A QUEEN WHEN SHE ENTERS THE PRISTINE BRUSHWOOD OFFICE. YOU CAN TELL DR. JOE WORKED AT AN EXCLUSIVE VET OFFICE ON THE UPPER EAST SIDE FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE COMING TO NH. THE OFFICE IS RUN LIKE CLOCK WORK AND DR. JOE WORKS MIRACLES. WHEN BEEFEATER CAME IN CONTACT WITH A RABID RACOON LAST THURS., DR. JOE MET ME AT THE CLINIC TO ADMINISTER A RABIES BOOSTER JUST TO BE SURE BEEFEATER WOULD BE PROTECTED. YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW BEEFEATER BROKE HER LEG AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT THANKS TO DR. JOE AND HIS SUCCESSFUL OPERATION. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. JOE AND HIS WONDERFUL STAFF.

My puppy ate plastic Christmas decorations, and I was frantic. I rushed her to Brushwood Vet, and they couldn't have been nicer. They took an X-ray, and the doctor explained exactly what I was looking at, and what needed to be done. He had to open her up and take it out!!
Long story short- they did the operation, and Maddy came thru with flying colors. I can't thank the Bruswood staff enough for the way they were so nice to us and took great care of Maddy. I have been back a number of times, and I never have trouble getting an appointment. And unlike some of these chain vet hospitals, the service is never impersonal. I never have to give Maddy's name when I come in thru the front door- they all remember her and her hysterical mother!

I had taken my two chiuaua's to several different vets before i found Brushwood Vet. I have been thrilled at the excellent treatment they have gotten. The staff is lovely- they treat me with care and concern, and the doctors couldn't be more gentle and compassionate with my "children." The hospital is cozy, and the medical treatment is excellent. The doctor discovered a kidney problem with Daisy that two other doctors had missed. If he hadn't done so, she wouldn't be with me today.

I am a nurse, and have been going to brushwood with my two yorkies for over 5 years now. I have found that Dr. G. is the most caring and considerate vet I have ever met. He is very gentle with my dogs, and the staff is a pleasure to deal with. I have never had a problem with him, and have recommended him to many people over the years.

I had a great experience when my daughter broke her leg and was in a wheelchair. The staff took her and my big two dogs into the clinic with no problem. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The doctor came out after I took one of my dogs home from surgery to talk to me and answer any questions I might have, and the next day, one of the staff called me to make sure everything was ok.

WE RECENTLY BROUGHT OUR CHOCOLATE LAB, MAGGIE, TO BRUSHWOOD TO BE SPAYED. DR. GUISCHARD AND THE STAFF WERE GREAT. MAGGIE'S SURGEY WENT PERFECT AND WHEN WE WENT TO PICK HER UP DR. GUISHARD AND THE STAFF TOOK THE TIME TO ANSWER ALL OUR QUESTIONS. IT'S NOW A WEEK LATER AND MAGGIE HAS HEALED GREAT W/NO COMPLICATIONS. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND BRUSHWOOD !

I have been to this animal clinic only to have my vehicle damaged while I was waiting for someone to look at my pet. Granted this place is located off a side road, has limited parking etc. When I noticed that my car was hit, the staff including the vet felt that it was tough luck, too bad.

I have found parking at this facility to be MORE and MORE difficult and the attitude of the owner twoard my pet and my behalf is certainly lacking. I will be looking elsewhere for a clinic that cares.

Brushwood vet clinic is great. They were very professional and caring, and I would recommend them to anybody. Dr. Joe is the greatest, and Robin, Crystal and Wendy are wonderful.

I bring both my cat and dog to Dr. Guischard at Brushwood Vet. He and his staff are fantastic- they are really caring, and he really knows his stuff. He used to work in New York City at a top clinic, so he was able to diagnose and cure my cat's kidney problems after several other vets gave up. I even got my parents and sister to switch to him, and they think he's great.
I would highly recommend him to anyone. The prices aren't bad, either.

I recently brought my Siames cat to be spayed. they cut her way up her side instead of just shaving underneath and now she will have a permanant dark block on her side. Siamese cats develope their color by body temprature and when the cut way up one of her sides they caused the hair to gorw back dark. this will never correct itself. the vet tech's there should learn how to properly shave a siamese cat so not to disfigure them for the rest of their life. I am VERY displeased!

Our dog recently had her annual checkup and we were very pleased with the way she was handled. The reception are was clean and smelled great. The nurse took our dog within minutes after we arrived which was good so other dogs don't bother us. They loved our dog and we'll be going back again next year.
