Customer service is absolutely terrible. The individuals running the office are disorganized and rude. Each time I call they seem confused and do not want to work with me to solve the problem. I give this two stars (instead of one) as the technition I have been dealing with is good.

Stay away form this vendor. Had them at my house on 8/7/2012 to inspect an oven giving off a funny smell when convection was on. Was told by repairman (Craig) unit needed wire harness to be replaced. He said oven should be unplugged

The worst experience I've ever had when it comes to service, and if you see any 5 star reviews, assume it's written by the inept employees at this outfit. Our Bosch dishwasher was under extended warranty from Warrantech AKA Repairmaster.

American Home Appliance Service came to my home to fix my oven. The technician diagnosed the problem and told me that they needed to order a new control board and control pad. (at a cost of over $388). I waited 3 weeks and never heard back from anybody. Upon calling them I was informed the parts were on backorder and that I was better off ordering them myself from the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and got the parts ordered without a problem (why couldn't they do the same??). In the meantime I also checked some Internet resources to try to solve the problem. I was told that there was a transformer that normally went bad on this oven and caused the problem that I was having (the technician had not ordered this part), since it was under $20 I ordered that too. American Home Appliance came back to the house and was unable to fix the oven by installing the control board and control pad. They informed me that I had received defective control board and control pad and would have to re-order the parts. When I asked him about the $20 transformer I had ordered, I was dismissed and told that "it was not the problem". Being skeptical and a competent mechanic I decided to try the repair myself. Guess what? My $20 transformer fixed the problem. Too bad the $388 of parts that they had me order were non-returnable! Moral of the story was the technician that I had paid for actually knew less about fixing ovens than me!

American Home Applicance is located in Pequannock, NJ. Their services are covered under both of my warranty programs. They needed to come to my home for service on both my washer and my refrigerator. They've been on time and their service men are great. I would highly recommend them if you need service on an appliance.

American Home was supposed to service our dryer but couldn't get their act together. An appointment was made and they called the day of to say they wouldn't make it. They simply weren't available. An appointment was made for the next day and when they didn't show I called to inquire. They insisted that I called them and cancelled the order. It was obviously a mistake but they kept insisting that it was my fault!! They were hostile, angry and very rude. They were not the least bit interested in rectifying the situation and when I asked to speak to a superior they did all they could to keep me from speaking to her. When I finally did speak to the supervisor and told her the store I bought the dryer from agreed with me that their customer service was lacking, she was outraged! She was more concerned with what they were saying and not the fact that they have earned their horrible reputation. Do yourself a favor and look for service elsewhere.

We had the store special-order a part for an appliance. When we went to the store to claim the part, the staff was extremely rude. A gentleman was yelling at another client on the phone and was frustrated that we were there. Refused to run our credit card, despite insignia claiming to accept credit cards. AVOID if you expect good service.

Pros: They claim to have had ordered the correct part. It would have been nice to find out!

Cons: We wouldn't know, because the employee wouldn't get off the phone when we went to the store to pick-up the part. Wouldn't run our credit card.
