I would highly recommend Happy Hours School to anyone looking for childcare. All THREE of my children attended HH spanning a period of about 15 years! This was the small school in the midst of all the franchise schools popping up all over. The staff was wonderful, and most accommodating over the years. Rooms were extremely large and clean. There were many activities and specials offered to the children. To this day my children have remained friends with some of the children they met at HH years ago! It was a great first school experience for all of them!

My child started attending Happy Hours in November 2011 when the new ownership took over. She is so happy to go to school everyday and loves every teacher there. I never thought I would be comfortable leaving her and going to work but it feels like I'm leaving her with family. We love Happy Hours!

I went to Happy Hours School when I was a child and have very good memories of it. So when I had to choose a daycare for my 3 children, I was very happy to send them to Happy Hours.

I did not want to send them to a "baby factory" daycare- where the caregivers were barely 18 and cared more about their paycheck than my child. The best thing about this school is knowing that my children are being cared for by mature, responsible adults who have years of experience and are mostly mothers themselves.

My kids were all very happy going to this school and I recommend it to anyone who asks. My 9 year old begged to go to the daycare with her younger brother and sister on days off. That's got to say something for them!

Also, to clarify one of the posts below- the school hours are 7am-5:30pm.

about 17 years ago I was at Happy Hours and it was traumatic for me. The teachers made fun of me and belittled me, and scolded me for wetting my pants. I was so scared that when I poo'ed myself I didn't tell anybody there. They went the whole day without noticing, and when I went home, my mom discovered what happened and called to complain. The next day the woman in charge pulled me aside and screamed at me. She said that if I ever did that again... well... it was pretty terrible.

These people think that young kids can't possibly remember poor treatment, but my contention is that young kids can't possibly forget. Horrible.

While I must say I can not vouch for the quality of this daycare - simply because I never went inside - I must comment on their rude phone manners and lousy hours.

The prior post on this site says they are open 7am -7pm. This is untrue.

I work in NYC and called this daycare from my office one day to inquire about services. I called for days before anyone answered the phone and finally on the day it was answered - the woman's first response to my "Hi, I'd like to find out more about your daycare services" - was, "DO YOU WORK IN NEW YORK??" "BECAUSE I HAVE CALLER ID AND CAN SEE YOU'RE CALLING FROM NEW YORK!". When I respond "Yes" - She snaps that they close at 5pm and that if I work in NYC - "THEN I KNOW YOU CAN'T GET HERE BY THAT TIME".

This place gets an F- minus for courtesy, friendliness, and just crappy hours - most people in this area are working in NYC - get over it!

Happy Hours School Incorporated is a good place for drop in day care. They have good hours, from 7am to 7pm. The place is very clean and well maintained. Large rooms, lots of windows, fenced in yard with a locked gate. The teachers and aides are very professional and friendly. The children are very happy and clean. They provide alot of fun arts and crafts, outdoor games, and socialization. Low prices are a big plus too.
