I've been dining all over the tri-state area for over 25 years searching for Italian Restaurants that I can bring the most brutal critics, my parents, and treat them to a special evening. I now find myself treating them to Caffe Piazza on a regular basis because the critics (and the rest of the family) love it so much. From the warm ambiance to the incredible dishes, you don't want to miss this local gem!
This review is different than most restaurant reviews. We won't discuss decor (updated and soothing), we won't discuss wait staff (attentive and professional), and we won't discuss specific dishes and their fresh ingredients. All I'll say is that my wife and I spent about 5 years going to Caffe Piazza just about every single week. Let me add that I cook Italian food better than the majority of restaurants we've visited. Yet I am humbled every time I dine at Caffe Piazza, and forced to recognize that I've a long way to go in my journey as a chef.
From chef/owner Antonio's warmth and friendliness to the staff's fine service, the dining aspects beyond the food are most inviting. But it's the food that keeps us coming back for more.
Homemade pastas, prime meats, sauces you want to bathe in, and fresh fish done to perfection, it's an amazing dining experience that you shouldn't miss.
