My son was injured many years ago. He fell off a swing set and split open his cheek very deep. I went to the ER with him, had a plastics doctor work on him there, no choice of who though as it was a Sunday (he was 24 months of age,) The doctor put a non dissolving suture under the skin. He never told me he would be away in India and I kept calling the office for a follow up appointment. The answering service said he would call back every day I called, for a week!
I called Dr. Lat, he took us that day. He put my son on antibiotics for three days, said if the swelling and beginning of an infection didn't heal he would have to re open it. It only got worse and sure enough the wrong type of suture was in there from the other doctor. He removed it opening a tiny area and closed that area again. He was soothing to my son, did not yell like the doctor at Valley ER.
He treated my son kindly, removed the offending suture and it healed as well as could be expected. As a teen he has small scar on his cheek, jagged from the way the first plastic surgeon's repair.
Dr. Lat is excellent. I referred him to a friend for her daughter. She had a terrible bump on the nose. At 17 he removed the bump but did not change her nose in anyway, He did a beautiful job, the family was quite pleased.
I would use Dr. Lat anytime for any plastic surgery issue.
I highly recommend him.

At first, I wasn't sure how he would be, but once I saw him at work, I was amazed at his patience and his gentleness with dealing with a 1 yr old. The calmness in his voice with a screaming, scared baby was amazing to me.
His work was thorough and concise, and absolutely amazing-- there is no scar! Follow-up care instructions were detailed, and the office called ME the next morning for a follow-up visit appt to be scheduled. Very impressed with that one!
Prices are a little steep-- but I don't know of plastic surgery prices, so that could just be the "sticker shock" value for this sort of work, which I know to be quite pricey in this area.
Office staff is kind, efficient, and they submit Emergency bills to the Insurance company for you.
