My wife and I have been going to Crabby's for years. But the last time a week or two ago has changed my mind. We usually go there for birthday or anniversary. But we took my wife's father and girlfriend and the food was good. But my father-in-law insisted on paying. They paid in cash. My wife counted it his girl friend counted it and it seem to add up. We add 20 dollars for a tip. The waitress came back in anger and left 7 dollars in change saying thank you. I then went back and they said we only gave them 7 dollars over the cost of the meal. I then gave the waitress and extra 19 dollars plus the change. We feel that someone on the staff shorted us. We won't be back

Crabby's isn't exactly in Mays Landing - it's in Belcoville, Weymouth Township, NJ on Rte. 50, a scenic route to the southern Jersey shore. Crabby's is a local favorite, as well as a "must stop at" for the tourists heading south. The food is always excellent, though not cheap. The best way for adults to start the evening is with a "Crabby Mary" - an excellent version of the Bloody Mary. My favorite dish, when available, is the Clambake Special (name?). About $35, you get a tray loaded with clams, kiwi mussels, crablegs, corn, shrimp, etc. Out of this world! Be prepared to take a doggie bag with you! There's only one dessert on the menu - fresh strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar. Outrageously good - and I've stolen the idea for home. Key for this restaurant is to order what they serve best - seafood! Save the steak dinner for a steakhouse!

Everyone from my daughter's soccer team raved about this crab restaurant. My wife & I love crab's so decided to take the ride there one night. We walked in & was surprised how laid back it was inside. They have picnic tables to sit on & a roll of paper towels at every table. The garlic crabs were delicious. After seeing how the place looked I was surprised at how expensive it was but the meal was good. Had the strawberries with a brown sugar & some kind of cream on top. It is really delectable. If I'm in the area I might go back again. Won't make the drive just to go there again though.

If you're going out looking for a fancy restaurant this isn't the place. You sit at a picnic table and they give you a roll of paper towels. But the crabs are worth it and the waitresses are a lot of fun. It's a little over priced but the beer is cold and the crabs are good.

The prices are so high you almost feel like your buying the restaurant. If the food was fabulous I wouldn't complain about the price because quality and price go hand in hand. But this was the worse expensive seafood I have ever eaten. Don't go - stay away!

I ate at Crabby's today with my wife...I ordered a plate of Seafood over pasta with a Scampi sauce, Broiled Scallops, and a Seafood Gumbo. The Bartender was very nice. The Scampi was like a Garlic Flavored Oil Slick with over cooked seafood. The Scallops were over cooked and the Gumbo was ok. We returned the Pasta dish, and ate the Scallops and soup because we were dying of hunger. We were afraid to re-order because "Brian" the cook (Who also doubled as the plummer as he unclogged the ladies room toilet in the middle of his cooking duties)came out to check out who was sending back his food, We didnt want to get "a Brian Oyster" (hock tooey)if you know what I mean. If its Just Crabs you want Go for the All you can eat thing. But any Culinary type food is best left to the real chefs. Also my soup and drink and scallop prices were inflated by and additional dollar on each item...rather than argue we payed and left. $56.00 plus tip for 2 drinks and 2 soups and an over cooked plate of small (quarter sized) scallops....not including our tip. Dont even ask for salad the dont have it....a good seafood lunch with my wife became a dissappointment. I wish I had a better experience to report.

Pros: Clean Bathroom

Cons: They are open.

At nearly $9.00 for a crab cake sandwich I thought I'd be getting something for my money. Not only was it utterly tasteless (where was the crab meat?), but the bun was stale, and the service was very slow. I will NEVER eat at the establishment ever again!!!

Crabby's has a great minimalistic feel. You can watch the game and soil your paper tablecloth as you make your way through the shore's freshest shellfish. Although they call it Crabby's, the Maryland Blues are a little messy and not worth all the work. In the end, it's best to stay with the King Crab Legs or the Garlic Crabs if you can stand a little oil. If you don't eat seafood, don't bother with the steak...chicken fingers and dirty fries are best. Finally for dessert, don't pass up the strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar, they are the most delectable berries I've ever eaten. Or if you're really feeling indulgent go all out and add a piece of their chocolate peanut butter pie to your order.
