1 Stars: SUMMIT, NJ/BROADWAY DINER (by Mr. & Mrs. S.)

I must have passed this diner a dozen or so times, but couldn't wait to experience this place... I'M GLAD I DID, AND I'M JUST AS GLAD THAT IT'S OVER!!!! The staff was so diverse, while the clientele was snow white, and that's never bothered my husband and I; we just like great food. But how does one learn from their oppression? Oppress, and the staff at Broadway Diner in Summit, NJ did just that. Water without ice, forgot all the sauces and sides, while waiting on "the other" clientele with a smile and a river dance! One price on the menu, another one on the bill (unjustified). To go boxes, no bags. Completely disappointed, we quickly and quietly left. But haste makes waste... I left behind a phone case at the table, and it was stolen quicker than you can say David Copperfield!!! With class, we never balked nor barked, but what can you say about a so-called restaurant with one nasty filthy restroom, average food, and a plantation mentality staff? You can never buy, nor hire trash, and make them worthy. And even the raunchy, funky bunch in the parking lot gave the details of the history of Summit, NJ... Even if you're not born near a land field, you can still grow up to be nothing more than garbage.

5 Stars: diner (by Justin M.)

My mother and I stopped here on our way through town one day. She grew up in the little township of Chatham. This diner has mile high cake and pies that are unbelievable. There is nothing like a cheesburger and piece of cake from this place to set your heart a running.
