Amato Deli is one of the popular destinations of the staff where I work for delicious lunches. An Italian deli, they serve up large portions and tasty meals. A small storefront, you can find a seat at a table in the window if you are waiting for your order. Orders are prepared promptly and courteously.

I fell for Amato's Deli when I ordered a turkey, fresh mozarella, and sun-dried tomatoes on a semolina roll. Their sandwich was fresh with the best ingredients. The gentleman tending my order drizzled balsamic vinegar, a hint of olive oil, and some oregano at my request on the sandwich. Compared to other deli sandwiches I've purchased and eaten, Amato's tasted the best and was not drowned in oil (which I don't like). The prices are excellent, especially when you could eat one half of your sandwich for lunch and save the rest for later.

Amato's has refrigerated soups, chicken, salads--often with an Italian flair. A variety of chips, large homemade cookies, and beverages are available for purchase to accompany your meal.

Parking is out on the street--I've never had a problem finding a spot at lunchtime because the school where I teach eats lunch from 10:45-11:30AM. Yes, I know that is typically breakfast time.

Amato Deli has specials posted behind the counter that change regularly. I am totally addicted to my signature sandwich (mentioned above), but friends who have ventured into the specials have only raves about the food here.

PROS: Great food and prices.
