Allaire Village

Allaire Village is a step back in time. It's great for a quiet afternoon with the family, whether it be a picnic on the grass or on the train for a ride. They have many time period shops; the bakery is delicious! They also offer educational programs.

If you are looking for excitement, then Allaire State Park and Village is not for you. It is a very sweet and quaint historical park and village. The grounds are quiet and very pretty, but not very exciting. I think the history of the area could be presented in a better, more interesting way. Right now, kids and adults are bored within minutes!

This is a great place to hike, however. Beautiful grounds and trails.

Allaire Village is a quaint park to visit and walk around. They have old village buildings among a walking trail and lake. There's also a train ride, with a special visit to Santa around the Holidays. Lots of gift shop opportunites, but not alot of benches. My son really loves to walk around and look at the foliage, its a great day trip.
