Going back a few years...this place was a joke. I personally knew the president...."Mike". He cared more about women and the staff-women,then making the place run sound. Apparently there was lots of "billing errors" feeding the bankroll of the execs. Yes....he was fired

I am a patient of Kessler Hospital and I feel that this is a terrible lost I suffer from severe migraines and kesssler has been a life saver for me. This is a terrible lost from this area, the closest hospital is 13 miles away. If there is someone who is distress kessler was the closest hospital and if that is the case then how will they make it to another hospital? It is a serious chance that alot of patients including my self just might die. What is going to happen to us now? Where are we suppose to go now? All the money that was spent building a new court house should have gone to the hospital, is it more important to send people to jail then to save their life? I notice that the liquor stores are not closing, if you think about it, where are the priorities?I am very worried about this I really am what now? Does anyone know ? Does anyone care?

I have been in Kessler many times for acuite bronchitis. I went through the ER every time and have to say they took very good care of me and I did not ever have to wait very long like you have to in many big hospitals like in NY. The nursing staff in all the areas of the hospital were excellent. Even in the ICU I never had to wait for anything they always came in between there other care to see if I was doing OK and if I needed anything. There dietary department was great on making sure I had the proper diet that I needed. My doctors always were there every day to see me. I think people should not judge a small town hospital poorly. Not all big city hospitals are the best a lot of them are like meat markets either in NY or Philly. I am sad to see they are having financial problems.

If you don't have anything extensive medically wrong and just need lab, xrays, etc. this is a good place to go. However, this is not a teaching facility. This hospital is not affliated with any either so it is a stand alone facility. The care by the nurses have been written up many times for being over worked and under staffed. The physicians on staff a very good, but again if anything serious go across the river to Philadelphia hospitals. Kessler does have a wonderful dialysis treatment center off site.

PROS: Good doctors
CONS: small town hospital, not a teaching facility

My mom was taken to Kessler Memorial Hospital when she was having dizzy spells and some other problems. We went to visit her there and were very surprised to see how small the hospital was. They were under construction in some areas of the hospital, so I suppose they are going to be expanding. The staff there is very friendly and they took good care of my mom while she was there.

PROS: nice staff
CONS: small
