Children's Attic

I have read reviews of other consigners last year prior to dropping off clothing and toys at Children's Attic. I thought everyone makes mistakes and they deserve second chance. I brought (3) large 24" square of toddler clothing; 60% still have tags on never been used. Other clothing were in great condition as well, they were probably been used 2-3 times. In addition, (2) diaper boxes full of good to new condition toys to Children's Attic. And several months passed, I came back to drop off additional items and to check my credits. To my surprise I earned under $13. I used have learned my lesson, but I wanted to test of my second drop off result would be the same. I was curious if the store owner's has an undisclosed credit margin for everyone at $5-$20 dollars. Sure enough I was right. My second credit check was $11.

I like to support local small businesses, but something seems very odd about Children's Attic business model. And though I enjoy meeting the friendly owner, I don't think I will go back to the store again.

Whether $1 or $100. People should but "HONESTY" as their business model. I rather donate to a non-profit organization than dealing with dishonest business.

I consigned many pieces (over 75) of beautiful, gently used, high-end name brand clothing. After three months, the clothes were gone and the owner of the store told me I only made $14.98. I asked her to send me the check and I still haven't received it ... that was 7 months ago!

If you're looking to consign, do not use this store!

AWESOME place to shop, from newborn through PRE-teen! Toys, books, DVDs, videos, computer games & STUFF in general are the BEST BUYS in this "diamond-in-the-rough" store! The owner is a one-woman business: she runs a friendly store, she's so nice to the kids, but sometimes the hours are odd because she can't always be there. If you're coming from FAR, call ahead. Be forewarned that you should only consign clean, pressed, stain-free, tear-free items! Other items are rightfully donated to a worthy cause :-) This store is only as good as it's clients; we need to keep it that way!

Great Prices, great quality, great service. I've had nothing but great times shopping at this store. I always find what I need and more. The kind of service that the owner provides is fenomenal! My children love going there more than any other store. Best of all, I leave the store without a whole in my wallet :)

I highly recommend this store for parents of children who want to save A LOT on clothing and toys. The aisles are labeled by size so you can find what you're looking for quickly. And if you consign there, you can draw funds from your account for purchases. Perfect for those watching their budgets. The owner is wonderful and I have been a customer for years.

Its now located on George Dye Rd(near the intersection of George Dye Rd and Rt 33.
The owner is great and does choose only the best items to sell.
Worth the trip!

I tried to go to this store yesterday and it was totally empty with no sign in the window. Has it gone out of business?? or just moved??

I love Children's Attic!! I am so happy they do not take "just anything"...that means that when I shop there, I will only get the best!! I can find Ralph Lauren at reasonable prices....if you need it, she has it!!! Dancing school shoes and attire, costumes, snow coats and pants, spring jackets, sports shoes, dress shoes, communion dresses...etc!!!! She has it all!!!!!!!!!

I went there with some children's clothes and was told they only take namebrand with no rips stains etc. Ok fine I gave them what I had and was turned down on some stuff because of the condition yet when I shopped there myself I found clothes hanging on the racks with rips and tears in them.

I love this store! The owner of this store only takes the best items on consignment. She always has beautiful strollers, toys and LOTS of clothes. I always find great items for my son and his friend. At the rate my son grows I try to find good consignment clothes first and then I supplement that. This is one of my first stops!
