I surrender!!!! Rude and condescending attitude

by Michele O.

This is difficult to write. I have been taking my kids here since birth. I'm switching them. I'm tired of the rudeness of the office staff, the cold nurses and most recently the treatment I've received from the doctors. They don't even return a call or it comes 2 days later-the reason they don't call is they want me to come in-I needed assurance and answers that day in order to know if I should medicate my child the next day-I didn't need an appointment next week. To top it all off $10 fee to get copies of the records. Non professional, dirty outdated offices that smell funny-why would anyone stay?

Inept Billing Department!!

by Paul M.

All the doctors my wife and I have dealt with at the practice are great. The desk staff though... Make sure if you change insurance plans you spell it out for them. We took both our sons for checkups on the SAME day. They billed the correct insurance for one child and tried to bill the OLD insurance for the other. We gave them our new insurance card when we checked in for our appointment. When we notified them of the error after receiving a bill in the mail for $200 they tried billing the old insurance AGAIN. To make a long story short we have been going back and forth with them for YEARS trying to get this resolved and they are repeatedly trying to bill my old insurance. For some reason they just can't get it right even though we have spoon fed them the correct information several times. Now they are taking us to collections because we refuse to pay. We intend to get legal counsel and fight to prevent us from having to pay for their repeated mistakes!!

Wonderful Team of Doctors!!

by Amy M.

I have been taking my children here since my first son was born 6 weeks early almost 7 years ago. They all go above and beyond to treat your child well and refer you to the best specialists when need be. They are open 7 days a week, and the nurses and front staff are super nice and helpful. One down side, I do agree about Stan. He is new to the practice and I saw him once recently and was not impressed whatsoever with his bedside manners at all. I have requested no to ever see him again, and it was noted in in my chart without any qualms. I prefer Dr. Ben for well visits, simple because he saw both my boys at birth who were both born early and he most acquainted with their histories. However, for simple sick visits, any doctor is there (besides "just call me Stan") is TOP NOTCH!!

Office Visit

by Michele R.

I took my kids to there well visit on May 21, 2009. We had the ungrateful pleasure of meeting Dr. Stan. He is the biggest Jerk with the lousiest bed side manner and everything distracts him. If that is the case then don't work with kids or in the medical profession at all. I love going there to see Dr. Ben and the others-but not Stan. I will NEVER HAVE MY KIDS SEE HIM AGAIN.

Best Peds Doc....

by Jeri S.

I have jumped from doctor to doctor to find the right fit for my son. My very first time there we went to the Elmer office first, (yes i agree, a makeover would be nice) and I have to say not only have I never been so pleased with the staff at a doctors office, but they went the extra mile when my son needed specialized equipment that was not available locally, and it is my responsibility to fill the script. I have had many more visits made more pleasant through the years, and I tell everyone to bring their kids here I wish my own doctor's offices had a staff of such genuinely nice and caring women. I have experienced the worst, and am happy to say that we now are with the best.

Horrible

by sandy l.

I switched my children. I hope that you never need them outside the office. My son was hospitalized at 5 weeks and had surgery. No one ever called. Took 10 days to get results from an xray for my daughter to tell me she has scoliosis meanwhile they received the results in 2 days! Sorry, not very professional to me nor do they care! The office is disgustingly dirty. Although, you never wait for an appt. Gee, I wonder why????? I paid the $40 and transferred my kids elsewhere. Oh yeah, they charge for that too!

Pediatric Professionals!

by Bridget W.

I have been taking my 5 children to Woodbury Pediatrics since 1993. The staff are both professional and caring. The doctors make me feel as though they know my family. Everyone is always pleasant and courteous. I have observed the staff following proper hygiene standards before and after caring for all patients. The fees at this office are comparable to other pediatric offices. Most of the time my children have been seen by their doctor at their appointed time. The doctors return calls promptly. The office space does show signs of wear but the rooms are renovated periodically. They are the BEST!!!

Accessible, caring, informative

by L G.

I recently needed to switch docs and brought both my daughters in for an appointment. Lisa Cole saw my girls and I was very pleased. Yes, the office is a bit outdated but I am not there to critique the interior decorating. The Dr. was very professional and the staff handled my girls, shots included, with gentle firmness and compassion. Getting an appointment is no hassle at all, I received a welcome packet with a brief bio on all the doctors and the office procedures and I didn't have to wait at all! Some of the mothers on here are more concerned with the cosmetics than the care, maybe they should move to Beverly Hills !

How much is enough?

by scott g.

Our son has been a patient for 16 years. We filled out working papers for our son. It required the signature of his doctor. We made an appointment for our son to get a physical which was required for the working papers. So we paid for the physical for the sole purpose of getting the working papers. After the physical the person at the desk said there is an additional $5.00 charge to get the doctor's signature. Keep in mind that they did not have to fill out any forms, JUST A SIGNATURE. Keep in mind we paid for the physical. This was Dr. Piantedosi. What's next? A five dollar charge to write out a prescription? I can't wait to see how much my insurance company was charged for the physical exam. This is pathetic! S. Goess

1st Visit to Woodbury Pediatrics

by Anonymous

I took my son to his first appointment at Woodbury Pediatrics just yesterday. The waiting room is a very calming underwater experience. I was told that this had recently been completed. My son who is 3 was amazed at all the fish on the walls! He didn't have long to appreciate this room as we were quickly taken back to be weighed and measured by one of the friendliest nurses I have encountered at a doctor's office. We then were taken to a room decorated with "Looney Toons" where the doctor came in with his "Looney Toons" tie! The doctor examined my child thoroughly and gave me plenty of question time. I left the office knowing that my child's prescription had already been faxed to the pharmacy. I feel like my child and I matter to both the doctors and staff at Woodbury Pediatrics especially now that I know they are open 365 days a year to care for my child.

very dirty offices

by Anonymous

The staff is very nice, but the place is very dirty. Draperies and blinds haven't been cleaned in decades and the walls are a disgrace, everything is run down. Time to invest docs!

bEST PLACE in the area

by Anonymous

My son has been with this practice since he was born. We are very happy with the treatment he is given, and the respect we are given as parents. We're extremely comfortable taking him there. Itis not close to our home but we make the effort to tdrive 30 minutes to take him there , simply because of the great doctors, nurses, and support staff.

PROS: very nice and understanding staff

Great doctors, great nurses...no wait!!!

by Rachael O. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,513

I can't believe that this pediatrician has NO WAIT TIME!!!!!!! My daughter went here for a year (before we moved, and we are very sad that these will no longer be our pediatricians).....the nurses really got to know us, and the doctors do not make you feel rushed, they give you all the time you need to ask questions, and are VERY prompt with calling you back (which for me was great as a first time mom!!!)
