If you want to buy sick and dying fish by all means go to Absolutely Fish, I bought a leopard pleco for $75.. it died the next day.. I recently went there and saw 2 discus fish in the front, $330 for the pair I have 13 discus and $330 for the pair is not expensive to me, the only thing is that one of them had hole in the head and probably hasent eaten for days, I hope it dies soon so it wont have to suffer, the other is probably days away from the same fate, People that know even a little about fish know to seporate sick fish from healthy ones

The upkeep of this place is very impressive if small. The staff is helpful and the selection of Corals is also very nice.

Why the one star? Their prices. They are a ripoff, and thus the warning of "Hang on to your wallets." These Pirates of Clifton markup their prices on accessories up to 150% percent or more at times.
Need a poly filter bag? $15.99 (Petland discount sells them for $7.49)
Copper Testing kit? No problemo, that will cost you $25.99. You can get the same test that is not expired (yes they sold me an expired test kit) for $10.40. That nice Koralina power head that you want or need for extra flow? Yup expect to pay up to 100% or more.

Their customer service is great when it comes to your questions regarding your fishes or corals, however their pricing leaves a lot to be desired.

My advice? Go there to see their selection of goods and then price compare online, your wallet will thank you.

This is probably the largest aquarium store in Northern NJ. They have a huge selection of fresh and saltwater fish as well as aquarium plants. The staff will design custom tanks and the owner has a true interest in his business and studied fish reproduction undergrad. He is a great resource.

If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this store out. I drove from 1.5 hours away and was not disappointed. They carry rare freshwater fish and many, many types of saltwater fish. They also have a yearly Midnight Sale, every August, which is quite an event. Full-size free gifts are given out by reps from different aquarium companies, and the fish and supplies are all discounted
