This is a really fun place to go in the area. There are a lot of them around the same distance, but this is one of the best. They offer games and great food, with not as big of a line to wait on. I enjoy it going here and its a nice place to take the kids also.

Barnacle Bills Arcade and Mini Golf is the standard staple for my family to visit whenever we vacation "down the shore." It has been in Lavallette since my childhood, and now entertains my thirteen-year old. Situated in a large, revamped garage space, the arcade attracts youngsters, teens, and families who are vacationing or simply getting out of the rain. It is a popular gathering place for the teen set--but every year I've visited, the crowd is pleasant. People wander into the arcade barefoot, on the way home from the beach. It's a relaxed environment.

There are staff members on hand to assist you if your coins "get eaten" by one of the arcade games--as well as to give you change. Change machines and an ATM are available, as well as a public restroom.

The video games range from new--Dance Dance Revolution--to vintage--PacMan. There is a wide variety to appeal to everyone. They have Skee Ball, cranes with prizes, mechanized "rides" for toddlers, and my favorite--pinball games. Games vary in price from .50 to a dollar. Needless to say, I always find quarters on the floor in Barnacle Bills and get free games on the pinball when I visit.

Outside, there is a snack bar where you can get drinks and eats off of a grill. Immediately beyond that area is a mini-golf course which seems pretty pedestrian compared to others in the area, but is consistently crowded during the summer months.

If your family enjoys arcade entertainment, and you don't want to venture up to the Boardwalk to compete with a crowd for a video game, visit Barnacle Bills for clean, family fun.

PROS: Family oriented
CONS:
