Suite Salon & Day Spa

I have been going to Ana for 5 years now and absolutely love her. I would not trust my hair with anyone else. Yes the prices are high but you get what you pay for. If you want to look good, you need to pay the price to get the best!

I've been a customer of Suite for the past 2 years and finally had to call it quits. I was always waiting over an hour for my hair appointment and was often the last one there. The hairstylits are talented, but not worth the long wait.

The other day I went to the supermarket and the checkout girl gave me the nastiest look. I was 100% sure it was because she thought I had food stamps. But I didn't let that bother me so I kept putting my food up on the belt. When she asked me for my Savings Card with that tone of voice, though, I took all my groceries to self-checkout. No one will ever ring me up again! Last week, I got pulled over by a police officer for speeding. When he came up to the car, he gave me a nasty look. So, I drove away, and will never pull over for a cop again! Last month, when I visited my doctor for a check-up, she gave me a nasty look when entering the examining room. I know she looked at me like that because my parents are old and I had a cough. Plus, my insurance only covers 70% of the visit, so she knew I was working class and had a job with a poor heath care program. I'm done with doctors!

When I go to Suite Salon, they make everything feel great, and relieve all the stress in my life. This place is like an oasis in the midst of an ocean of turmoil. Elder does the best front bang in the place!

Let's not be absurd. Really.

By the way, people, check your spelling and grammar, especially if you're going to criticize someone. Some of your reviews seem to be written by a monkey with brain damage. You've embarrassed yourselves.

I have gone to Suite now 4 times and use Nancy. I was with my last salon for 8 years and I get nervous any time I have to try someone new. I made a last minute appointment and much to my pleasure I found my new stylist. Nancy is FABULOUS. Not only is she sweet, but she is talented and gives you exactly what you are looking for. Explains any changes that might need to be made, and works to get it the way you want. I have also taken my 3 yo daughter there for a corrective cut after she decided to "cut her own hair". Again, a magnificent job. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Though, I will agree with others that the receptionist does NOT have a very welcoming attitude and anytime you need to talk to her, it is as if you are intruding. She has never been mean, but she can be rude at times. She isn't enough to keep me from going to Nancy though. I'm not about to let sour grapes ruin my day.

Also, Nancy does an awesome job with eyebrow waxing.
5 Stars for Nancy!!

reason why i agree is because i went there this past week with my friend .. so she can get her hair cut which by the way was 60 dollars just for a CUT! but besides the point.... when we got there she gave us both the dirtiest look ever... and I'm 100% sure it was because she knew we were young and were probably broke or didn't have money... i did not let that bother me so i kept smiling at her and her daughter was there too so i was talking to her daughter and having a good time... but every time i looked up at terry she gave me that look .. how are you ever gonna get any customers being like that? exactly.... which is why i would never go there.. but Chris did a great job! my friend's hair came out amazing .. i loved it.. but i would never go there just because of the dirty looks .. just be nice and you'll get people to come back.. be smart dumb ass ...

I've been coming to the "Suite Family" for 4 years now. And I do not agree with some reviews below me. They are GREAT! Both the service and the staff. I've never had a problem with Terry. She always greets me by my name and a smile every single time (and I'm there every WEEK) I feel amazing every time I walk out of there. I always love how they do my hair (Mari and Nan, you guys are the best). They are all super sweet and very funny, theres never a dull moment at Suite. Its just not one of those boring salons that have you waiting for hours, even though you had an appt booked over a month and you leave there disappointed. It's a much different experience at Suite. I recommend it to everyone. I promise you, you wont be disappointed.

The staff at Suite Salon range from amazing to stupendous. From the moment you enter the salon, you are greeted with a smile. Terri remembers my name each time and that, to me, is great service. I have been blessed to have Cris work her magic and I am never disappointed in her skills! She never hesitates to make suggestions, compliment me and have me try some new products. LOVE what you all did upstairs.. it is truly an oasis!!! Keep up the great work... and always keep the family attitude alive.. it always makes me feel like a part of the Suite Salon family!!

This was my first time at Suite and it is was like being in Hollywood as a celebrity being done. Everyone was very nice, service was great and over all I was well greeted when I walked in by Terry with a cup of coffee. I recommend everyone to go their. Great Job!!!!

From start to finish always a amazing experience...This salon and day spa is by far the best. No matter what day of the week or time of day I walk in Terri always greets me with a smile, offers me some homemade cookies and coffee. She is ALWAYS a pleasure. My experience has always been excellent. I've had more complements than I can count from hair and make-up. I was just there last week for a massage and manicure and pedicure, Rose and Annamaria not only left me feeling relaxed but completely pampered. I recommend you try it yourself and let your experience be your review... they are offereing a bunch of winter specials now would be the time to check it out!

I had the most wonderful experience this past Saturday. I had an idea of what i wanted for a hairstyle to one of my close friend's wedding and I sat with Cristina and she nailed it. I wanted a Grecian look and she turned me into a Goddess with both hair and makeup. I had nothing but compliments on my way out of the Salon, especially from Terry at the front desk who was very sweet, and everyone at the wedding kept asking me who did my hair and make-up. I recommended Suite to everyone. They are not hair stylists, their are ARTISTS. Cristina is my girl! This was my first time there and I would definitely return. Everyone was very accomodating from the moment i stepped into the salon. They offer coffee (and good coffee at that) and fresh bagels while you are waiting to be transformed. If I had more than two thumbs i would give them more thumbs up! Great job Suite!

I have been to Suite a couple of times and every time I go, I receive exceptional service, especially with Chris. I went from having super long hair down to my waist to then getting a funky short cut! They use the best products out there and make you feel like a million bucks.They also make you feel as if you were at home chatting with good 'ole friends. I've never had a bad experience there with any of their employees. I haven't tried their spa just yet but I can count it the experience being remarkable because their hair service is remarkable. Also, I'm sure the owner would not allow an employee to stay there if they were full of attitude-especially working at a place where you must be very sociable. I think the place is awesome....do not go by the prior bashing reviews, it's all the opposite from what was said! I live in Kearny and drive to Cranford for my hair! Would I do that if I didn't think they were exceptional? I think not!

suite salon and spa is a place filled with true talent. The girls are amazing, from Chris to Nancy, Ana and cant forget Mecca. From Colors to cuts, a girl always walks out feeling like a Doll... But sad to say there's always one person i hate to see and hate is a very strong word and its not like me to use. Her name is terry. she is in charge of running the front desk. In my opinion she is the wrong person to fill this position!!!! I have girlfriends who also attend the salon and that have also complain about her rude-ness. She looks at people as if there less than her and never says hello. Her only smile comes out when your're about to pay. The sight of money makes her eyes glow. I would never spent the time or day to write a review, but unfotunately it got to this point that something has to be done about this before you lose long time customers. It seems as if complaning does nothing, because she still there. I write this because i have read reviews and have talk to customers and this is a topic that never finals to be mention. i dont agree that the rest of the group should be at fault for her actions. She is extreme nasty to talk to and im glad that i only have to deal with her on my way in and out for less than two mintues at a time. She's busy talking about others and she shows a very phony character.

The atmosphere is great, the stylists are very personable and down to earth above all they do amazing work. The shampooers even pamper you with a head massage. I've always been taken in at a moments notice and have never left unhappy, even if you're not from the are they are worth the trip!!!!

I had the most "amazing" experience at Suite this past week. I went in for a change (blonde to brunette) and was hesitant to let go of my "look". MECCA took the time to show me all of my options, asked me all the right questions and one hour later I was left with a smile from ear to ear. I love my visits to Suite and will continue to come back forever! The renovated location looks fabulous, the ladies (and Elder and G) are friendly and outspoken and i personally love Terry's witty personality! Suite is, hands down, the best salon around. I have been a customer at Suite for 3 years. If you want your hair done professionally and EXACTLY the way you want it, then I recommend Suite Salon and Spa. Nancy has been doing my hair faithfully for the last 3 years and I have never left with a bad hair cut or color. Everyone, INCLUDING Terry, couldn't be nicer. The customer service is excellent. They treat no one with disrespect. There are clients there of all ages and I see no one leave unhappy. They are a very busy shop and they wouldn't be that way if they were as poor as some of you portray. If you want great hair, go to Suite!

I have been going to Suite for 3 years now, and I ALWAYS leave with a smile on my face. All the emplyees are nothing but nice and only care about your satisfaction. Nancy is the one who does my hair and eyebrows and she always does a PHENOMENAL job..you get nothing but the best from her =) All the stylisst know exactly what they are doing and are always "in" with the hippest dues. At times there can be a wait but thats only because they are so busy with all the clients they have..which just shows how good they are. I would recommend Suite to anyone!!

Have been to Suite for a few different services including waxing and manicure/pedicure. Overall pretty awful in my opinion. What turned me off the most about Suite is their unprofessional customer service - truly some of the most unaccommodating and rudest people I've dealt with in the service business. In addition to their outrageous prices and shoddy services, the ambience at the spa is anything but calm and soothing. The actual building is beautiful with high ceilings and wood floors, but all of this makes for a quite noisy, disorganized place to "relax." I 100% would NOT recommend Suite to anyone based on the rudeness and unprofessionalism of their staff (from the front desk to the waxers), the general sub-par services they perform, and the sky-high prices they charge. I've since found solace at the Guillotine in Westfield - reasonable prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great ambience and services. Moral of the story: DON'T GO TO SUITE!

Suite Salon and Day Spa is absolutely one of New Jersey's best day spas and hair salons. I have been a client for over 4 years and would never go anywhere else. They always treat their customers with superior service and leave them feeling and looking great. Suite is staffed with the most amazing, talented stylists and colorists.

They provide superior, quality artistry and superlative customer service and always with a smile!

I have introduced this salon to numerous people and EVERYONE is amazed at the amount of talent that is under one roof. I HIGHLY recommend Suite Salon and Day Spa!

I have been with cris, ana and elder since for about 8 years now, and i will tell you quality work is the only thing that can describe this salon. They are amazing people, they care about the customer and i've become friends with a few of them.
I've had my hair done with elder, ana and cris, and i recently did their hair show at chris michaels and it was the bombdigitty!

dont be fooled by some bitter souls on these comments, anyone has a bad day yourself included, dont be petty!get over it!

I have really curly hair, and it is hard for me to trust my hair to just anyone. I have tried many salons and none of them take care of my hair the way Suite does. It is definitely the best i have gone to (and i have been to some "name" places) and i wont ever have to look anywhere else. And you pay for what you get. It can be pricey as some have said, but its worth it. I dont have to worry about my color fading or my hair getting messed up. I personally go to Ana and she is the best. Everyone there has always been nice to me. Was just there last night and everyone was super nice, always asking if you are ok, need anything, etc. New place looks amazing and its a great step up from their old place. I recommend it to all.

I have been a faithful customer of Suite's (co-owner ANA in particular) and would follow her wherever she would go! The suite crew did my bridesmaids hairstyles when I got married and everyone loved how they looked! I have recommended various people over there and although it may be a little pricier they agree it is totally worth it. I always get compliments! Regarding some other reviews... Terry has always been great with me, in fact, when i brought my 4 month old son with me she took the time to help out with him and I was able to relax because of that! I thank everyone at the salon for always doing a great job!

I went to Suite for the 1st time and loved it. I loved the way they did my hair, they did exactly what I wanted with a Funk that I loved. Unfortunately, the receptionist Terry lacks customer skills. She was rude, didn't even acknowledge I was there, once I was finished and when I went to pay she was too involved in what seemed like gossip to thank me for my visit. EXTREMELY RUDE . I would go back but definitely hate the idea of seeing her again.

IT was my 1st time there at the spa and i loved everything about it everyone was so pleasant and young they made me feel comforatble from the moment i walked in. my pedicure and Manicure was amazing so what that the nail people didnt speak english they did such a wonderful job my polish is still on today! so for someone to say anything wrong about them is not true yea its a little loud in there but what do u expect its a salon and they are young and fresh there make u feel right at home from the people in the front desk, stylist,and spa! I recommend everyone i know you guys are great! keep it going!

I have been to a few spas, and never have I had such an unpleasant experience. The noise was horrible, between the high ceilings, wood floors, hair dryers and people trying to talk over each other. I would never recommend a massage there. If you're in the area, C.A.L.M. Approach on Walnut ave., is heaven! The women doing our manicure and pedicures did not speak English, and the cost of a bikini waxing even though it was a regular waxing, was Outrageous! $60! Keep looking if you are interested in a spa.

First let me say this is the first time I have tried this salon/spa.
I have had dozens of messages over the years but I have got to say that Rose is the best of the best. She is so friendly and a joy to talk with. While giving me a body wrap she had nice mello music in the background. It was so relaxing. Then came the message....it was so good I felt like a new person after I left. Hats off to Rose.
I will be back for another visit.

When I was done and unhappy they basically told me see ya soon... yeah right!!! I went there because the outside was so pretty... Don't bother...

I had an awesome experience at Suite Salon. I had been going to a salon in New York for 10 years and the gentleman that did my hair left, I tried another employee several times and was unhappy, both with my color and cut. I decided to try a salon close to home, Suite Salon was my choice. They were extremely busy that Saturday morning, but Mariline was with me within minutes. The young lady was very nice, I put my trust in her hands, since she spoke with such confidence.. explained to me step by step what she was going to do & what she thought would look better. End result, I absolutely loved it couldn't have expected anything like it!!! Thanks to Mariline I look and feel sexy & stylish. My husband loved it! Worth every penny..

They do hair well.

You have to wait and they don't even say anything to excuse the long wait.

Terry can be very nasty or nice (I think she has major mood swings). I feel sorry for her. There is one girl named Ana, but they call her A-Rod. I think Terry should get pointers from her, she is so nice and personable with every one...she deserves 10 stars.

The place is beautiful.

They need to re-do the Brochure since it does have errors.

Ana and Cris (Owners) are nice girls. However, a few of the staff members can come across as snobs. One of them I smiled to once (Mariline she has dark hair and is very chunky), and she looked at me straight in the face and didn't even acknowledge me. I felt like a fool, but never again will I smile at her.

I haven't used the spa so I can't say anything about that.

Overall its a decent place that does good hair so if you can put up with the above then go for it.

If you don't care about the kind of service you're getting then head to Suite. They really do excellent hair there and are always up to date with the newest styles and techniques. However, I've had just about enough with the customer service so much that, after 8 years of business there, I'm looking for a new place. Their front desk receptionist (Terry) is absolutely the rudest person I have ever met. If you want an appointment there, you're better off hanging up the phone until one of the stylists picks up because that is the only way you're going to get an appointment. I have also gone multiple times and waited half an hour OR MORE for an appointment that I scheduled weeks ago. I don't mind waiting - like I said they do good hair - what I DO mind is that no one bothers to take notice or apologize, unless of course you remind them to. I make appointments to get my eyebrows waxed and have to wait 30 minutes to have someone who I hadn't even made the appointment with do them! I've expressed these problems 3 or 4 times and nothing changes. If you're looking for a quick up-do or just an easy haircut head on over but otherwise, bring your money elsewhere. You can find their menu (price list) online or in print at the salon and be sure to look for the misspellings which is just another example of their poor attention to detail.

I most recently visited their new establishment on South Avenue in Cranford. From the outside you would think you were walking into someones home and upon entering you find yourself blissfully taken away to Tuscany. PLEASE BE WARNED!!!! This is NOT your typical hip salon. Everyone in this salon is real. You will find NO snobs here. You will never feel out of place in this salon there are all kinds of people in this salon and amazingly everyone fits in. There is a true family atmosphere about the salon and spa. I have introduced this salon to my family members (including my brother, mother and aunt), countless co-workers and strangers on the street, everyone is amazed at the amount of talent one salon can contain. Their prices are equivalent to the quality of services that they provide. It is without reservation that I recommend Suite Salon and Day Spa.

All I have to say is once you've had the "Suite" Experience you will never have to go anywhere else. Not only are the stylists great but everyone treats you like family. When you first walk in you are greeted by Terry and she always asks you if you would like something to drink. I've read some of the prior reviews and honestly Terry is a sweetheart. In fact the last time I was there, one of the clients gave her a Coach bag for Christmas. She obviously is not a nasty person. So if you're looking for quality all around the board and great customer service...look no more. Now for all you broke bitches, I suggest you go to the $5 doobie spot.

WellLwhat can i say, i had never trusted nobody with my hair, because they would do the oppositeof what i telle themso i never wanted to sit in a chair again,until i met the owner Ana Gomes she knew what to do to my hair i was a little scared at first but as soon i sat in her chair i knew i was gonna be ok now when i go ther i just sit down and let her do her magic,and everybody there are great starting from Ana, Cris Elder down to Terry,i also took my mother -in-law for a day she did her mani/pedi with angela and did her hair with Ana also ,we love her so much , she is the best i do recommend them to everybody, because if you want to come out of a salon feeling good about yourself then Suite is the place.i always come out feeling good and happy to meet people like them.and the person who said that they are snobby well they are young and hip, if you want to go to a salon where ther is no comunication or its quiet so go to another salon where you gonna feel like you ae in a funeral well be it ,Suite Salon they make you feel you young again I love them and also does my mother-in- law WE LOVE YOU SUITE

The place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere welcoming. The staff friendly. I recently spent an entire day there and had a massage done by Rosie and it was the best I've ever had. Annamaria did my pedicure/manicure and my feet have never been happier, I've never had anyone take the time on my feet that she did it was so worth the money. I've been getting my hair cut by Cristina for a very long time. I've recommended her to all my friends and they have all been impressed with her color and cutsand especially her creativity. There prices are pretty high but so worth it. I've tried other salon's in the Cranford/Westfield area and their prices are the same but Suite's got me I won't be spending my money anywhere else.

I just met the Suite Family and thought it was the best experience in my life. I had no problem booking my appointment to getting the best cut and color in years. From start to finish it was great. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and the price is right. I would definitely go there again and again.

i've been getting my hair done at suite for a few years now and not once have I ever been disappointed. everyone there does a wonderful job starting with the assistants, right through to the receptionists all the way to the stylists! they are all truely AMAZING! they treat you like royalty and make you feel right at home, every time i am there i feel like a queen and leave there looking better then ever. as for some of these reviews i have to disagree with some because suite is the best place to get your hair done.. yes they are a little expensive but its very well worth it because im paying for what im getting and thats the top of the line color & products & of course the cuts and styling are GREATTT! over all i think everyone should go to SUITE SALON & DAY SPA!

I am a new client to the Suite family. I HAVE BEEN TO MANY OTHER PLACES BEFORE AND NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO WHAT YOU FIND THERE! OTHER THAN GREAT WORK AND SERVICE THEY STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR A QUEEN. THE CONVERSATIONS ARE GREAT! THEY ARE TONS OF FUN TO BE AROUND AND NEVER HAVE I HAD A COMPLAINT. THEY MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THEY'VE KNOWN YOU FOR YEARS. THEY ARE DOWN TO EARTH AND OFFER EXCELLENT ADVICE. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A PLACE WITH EXCEPTIONAL SUPPORT AND SERVICE I RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL. HAVING A BAD DAY? GO THERE THE LAUGHS ARE CONTAGIOUS AND THE SMILES AND SUPPORT ARE INCREDIBLE!

It's really sad that they lack CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. They do hair really well and because of that I give them two stars, but because of the lack of Customer Service I will not be going back. Terry the front desk receptionist is VERY NASTY. I think if they got rid of her they would do better. Also, it's very unprofessional to be doing someones hair and gossiping with others at the same time.

I went in 2X to get my manicure and pedicure with Maria and Angela. They are great and friendly. I used to go to them where they worked before so I followed them to Suite. From the time I called to make an appt, to me walking in the door and being greeted, to me walking thru the salon and to the point of me walking out. Everyone STARES at you and looks down on you. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome. They all seem very SNOBBY and like they are better than you attitude. The prices are 2X the price I normally pay...for God sake a haircut and dye is starting at $110.00...that ridiculous!!!! I go to Salon Visage and they start at $55.00. They are fun, friendly and have GREAT PRICES...so that's where I recommend you go in Linden!!!
I only recommend Maria and Angela for nails!!!
The other snobs are too much to handle when you are there to relax!!!

I went to Suite Salon to relax after a stressful day by getting a massage. I left more stressed out than I went in. The price was too high in comparison with other spas in Cranford. My session was disturbed multiple times by interruptions and noise. The treatment room and calming music cannot block out the loud noise coming from the Salon. The staff downstairs was rather rude when I explained the experience to them. I will not recommend Suite Salon to my friends or family for their spa services.

I have been to this Salon twice already. It has been great both times. The stylist took time to do my hair from start to finish, and did not wonder off to chit chat. The plus was I was in and out. I would recommend this place to any one. Great Atmosphere!!! Plus they are moving to a bigger and better location towards the end of the month.

My colleagues called to get info for this salon, every year we send/treat the ladies at our company to a day at the spa and this year someone reffered this one. However when i called for information the female wasnt 2 friendly or at all helpful... Thanks for helping us decide on not utilizing your services business or personal!!!!

I've been getting my hair and eyebrows done with Nancy (one of the employees from Suite) a while now. I went to Suite we she changed jobs and I loved the engery. The people are nice and super fun. I went to get my 18th Flashback birthday party hairstyle and they did an AMAZING job! It was a 50s hairstyle, and the whole salon was helping Nancy to get my hairstyle just right. I love how it's a big family and everyone helps everyone. Also I had my prom and makeup done at Suite with someone other than Nancy. I couldn't recongnize myself, I felt I was a movie star! If you have no idea where you want to go to get your hair done, I suggest Suite. I recommend all my friends to go, it's pricy but worth it. (my friend paid more for her prom hairstyle and mine came out better!)
