We used to frequent this restaurant on weekends, it's close to the State Theater, great menu. This sunday, no less than during a restaurant week in New Brunswick and owners are expected to put extra effort to market their establishments, when we placed the order, the waiter's response was ""sorry but we are out of stock on everything you have ordered (4 different orders). We were disappointed but made our second choices but, to our amazement, they were out of stock on that too. Then we just asked if there was any food in the restaurant besides bread and stale olive oil and were offered choice of salmon, chicken, fillet mignon or pasta. Management didn't even try to make it up to people in any way like discounts or complimentary desserts/drinks. Service was poor as well. We Poured our own wine and had to wait for our bill to be processed for 15 minutes. Moving on to other restaurants in the area.

I am in college and we had a classy semi-formal here at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's also located right in downtown New Brunswick.

My boyfriend has taken me here twice for our anniversary and it's a very romantic place to eat, especially at Christmastime when it's all decorated. The food is amazing but a little bit more expensive. And on the upside it's right across the stress from a pretty famous comedy club so famous people go in there to eat all the time. I even saw Chris Rock once!

Worst dining experience ever. Paid $75/per person and bought a $50 bottle of champagne for a four course Valentines Day dinner. We were stuffed in a small back room and barely saw the wait staff. We waited over 1/2 hr. to order, nearly 1 hour for soup. After getting the salad course wrong twice they never fixed it and just skipped to the entree (which took 2 hours at this point). When we told the manager/owner (Anothony), and at first he was entirely dismissive, he was too busy sitting and talking with his friends at their table. Then tried to blame it on the waiter. Every table in the room was angry and complaining, with repeated mistakes everywhere, 1/2 hr. + between courses and no service. A number of tables ended their meals yelling at the manager. We thought it may be some sort of reality TV show and were looking for a camera, it was so bad! I'd never experienced anything like it before. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Pros: The entree was actually tasty (when we ate it at home, after asking them to just box it for us when it took so long)

Cons: Bad service and a retaurant that doesn't care at all about its customers

Panico's is a refined establishment with a kitchen notable for a rock steady performance. The creative Italian fare offers starters such as broccoli rabe con salsiccia picante. Translation: bitter sauteed broccoli rabe with fiery Italian…
