I am one of the managers for this cleaners and I thank you for your reviews. It's wonderful customers like you that have kept our family business going strong for over 53 years! As far as the last few reviews on the page that were negative I can assure you that "so sad too bad" is never how things are handled. In the rare case where an item is lost or damaged we always do our best to recover/repair it. If the customer is not satisfied with the repair or the item is not able to be located we always credit the customer with the industry standard for missing/irreparable items as well as refunding their cleaning cost if it was prepaid. (note: Leather/suede/fur jackets and shoe repair can NOT be paid for in advance, so the customer stating we did not refund the money for the cleaning of their leather jacket is incorrect)

We rarely experience any disputes or unhappy customers at Strathmore Cleaners and just as with any business the people that are more likely to go online and post reviews are those few with a negative experience rather then the happy regulars we see every day. I agree with the other poster that some people are just unable to be satisfied, and they are the ones quick to go tell the world. Any negativity regarding how a clothing dispute was handled is always centered around the industry standard for reimbursement. If an item is brought in and is somehow damaged beyond repair the industry standard is to credit the customer for what the item is currently worth or 10x's the amount paid to clean it, whichever is less. 9 times out of 10 we issue a credit for the higher number in order to keep the customer happy, Additionally we always refund the cleaning cost if it was prepaid. The customers who are unsatisfied with this are customers who expect $150 for a brand new jacket, when the jacket they brought in to be cleaned was regularly worn, stained, a year or two or more old, etc. If one tried to buy a used jacket in that condition it will not even cost half the price of a brand new one. This is nothing new to the drycleaning business and no cleaners out there will give you the money back for the item as if it was brand new. (the exception of course is if the item was brought in recently after being purchased. However in this case 9 times of 10 the store it was purchased from always replaces or refunds the customer the cost of the jacket because it was a manufacturer defect and not our cleaners that would cause a brand new jacket to fall apart)

I've used them for the past 6 years and never had a problem. Great place, nice people, good prices. I take my leather Coach bags (not cheap, people) there to get cleaned and they look great after. Prices are competitive. Definitely recommend this place. They have long hours which is a plus. If you want quality, come here. I get all my stuff tailored here and have it back within a few days, which is great. Run down? Definitely not. I think people just want things for free these days and are nit picking to make this place look bad :(

I've been doing business with them for 20 years, and I know they've been around for at least twice that time. It's nice to walk in and actually have people who speak English, and the staff was always upbeat and friendly. It's a one stop shop, with drycleaning, tailoring, leather cleaning and shoe repair all there. Their prices are right there with everyone elses, but you get what you pay for compared to the cheapo mass-quantity foreigner places.

I'm surprised at the bad reviews because the rare few times I've had a complaint they always addressed it right away, and fixed it on the spot.

Strathmore cleaners did an okay job on my clothing. My pants came back with creases and wrinkles. They aslo lost a pair of my pants which were expensive. They offered no apologies and gave me hardly anything back. The store is kind of run down and I would definetely skip these cleaners!

I brought them a leather jacket to be cleaned and they totally ruined the garment inside and out. When I went to confront them about this they got totally defensive and refused to refund my money. The service and quality here is sub par and I would definitely stay away or go at your own risk.

I brought in 3 pairs of pants and one shirt. They lost my pants and besically said so sad, too bad. They were very expensive and I thought they should have been responsible.
