Ok... Mike T. sounds like a superficial, rich, snobby kid who is all about the appearence of things instead of quality. It sounds like he may have even been paid to write that review. First of all, there is nothing wrong with Ed. Ed DID NOT put down the other schools in the area, he simply stated the facts. "The other schools charge more for the SAME education" Yes, by the time you graduate, you have a certificate in Mixology, however, you don't really become a mixologist until your a bartender for at least 6months. The whole point of going to a bartending school is to get the basics of what is going on behind a bar. Every chool offers a flexible arrangements of classes, however, bottom line is that you must put in 40hrs. Sorry, but 40hrs of class time is not addequate time to become a "real" bartender. You have the basics.
My teacher was Carmen. He was very entertaining, funny and a wonderful teacher. The relaxed, unpressured environment allowed me to feel free to learn at my own pace. Carmen had knowlege about everything and I mean everything. This guys has a tremendous amount of experience and despite his age, he knew everything there was to know about the current trends in the bar scene.
The appearence of the bar looks exactly like your hometown, local bar. No, it's not a night club scene, didn't have flashy lights and wasn't playing techno music. If you want a job at a hot night club, you are def going to need some experience at a slower paced "hometown" kind of bar or the club owner/hiring manager is just going to look at u and laugh.
Anyone who has asked me if I went to bartending school, I gladly admit it and refer them to my school.
The money I spent I earned back in 3 shifts. Well worth it. Haddonfield Road International Bartending School is a fine school to go to :)

I was so impressed with the International Bartending School that 8 of my friends have followed my lead and attenend as well. My instructor Deni was fabulous and he really took the time to work individually with us all. Don't waste your time and gas looking elsewhere this school is the "bomb"! Great price too!!!!
