The food and service is very good. I'm especially happy about is the Won Ton soup. Nobody uses the "Chinese Lettuce, I call Seaweed" in the soup anymore, but they do. Reasonably priced, and hopping good service. Nice atmosphere and nice garden to look out at.

This is one of my favorite chinese restaurants in town. The duck is so good and tender. They have lots of fish tanks and a neat backyard patio and it is so pretty.

Youh know how every town seems to have that "one good Chinese restaurant?" Well, Crown Palace is Marlboro's. The parking lot is never empty, but there's never a terribly long wait. The staff is friendly, and the food is awesome. Everything is always fresh, and special orders can usually be accommodated. You can dine in or take out. We like to call our order in and drive over to pick it up. Take a day off from cooking, and have a great Chinese dinner here.

PROS: great food, friendly staff
CONS:

To me Crown Palace is everything that a good Dim Sum restaurant should be and much more. Chinese wisdom tells you if a restaurant spends a lot on the building they do not put enough into the food but they must have not been to this place. The outside is gorgeous and the food is perfect. Their offer all of the traditional Hong Kong dim sum fare and it is delicious. The clientele is mostly Chinese which tells you a lot. My favs are the bbq pork, shrimp dumplings, the taro pillows, and the crab claws. I have been to Hong Kong and this place competes very well.

Don't try to compare this to a top New York Chinese restaurant, but it's a much shorter ride, and all in all the food is pretty decent. Large menu, nice ambience, good service, and well prepared dishes. Perfect for a family or large group.

Crown Palace is one of a small chain of upscale Chinese restaurants in the Staten Island/Central Jersey area. Crown Palaces are some of the few true, sit-down Chinese restaurants in the area. These restaurants are marked by large dining rooms and their tasteful, modern decor. There is nothing "chain" feeling about them.

The "standard" menu offers items that you're used to from your local carry-out (plus some more interesting dishes) though they're presented far more elegantly. Execution of the dishes is vastly superior to carry-out. If you're savvy to the Crown Palace, you'll ask for their Chinese menu - even if you don't read Chinese (the waiters will help.) On this vastly different menu you'll find the authentic and unusual dishes - definitely worth the adventure!

Crown Palace also serves dim-sum on the weekends. Well and traditionally done, this dim-sum is also far easier than a trip to Mott Street.
