This is the BEST neighborhood market I've ever seen. I live in this area, and I shop exclusively at this market.
Although, I have many other choices for groceries also in this same small area, I am always disappointed and unable to find all the items on my shopping list whenever I choose one of those other markets instead of Food Town in Mt Tabor.
And to add insult to injury, not only do I end up having to go to more than one grocery store to find all of the items on my list, I practically have to take a nitroglycerin pill to avoid having a heart attack over the resulting total bill at the checkout lane at those other stores.
Not a single market in the area even comes close to matching Food Town's fair prices; unbelievably friendly, cheerful, and helpful employees; quality of cuts in their meat department; and greater range of pull dates on perishables.
Because I have lived in more than half of the States in the United States and therefore shopped at more markets than I can even name, I feel like I am more than qualified to give an accurate review/rating for a grocery store. But, if you want to quickly verify the accuracy of my review for yourself, here's a quick test you can perform yourself:
Run over to Food Town in Mt. Tabor and head directly to their produce isle; look at their tomatoes.
They have the BEST tomatoes I have ever seen in a grocery store, bar none. Their tomatoes look as good if not better than tomatoes I've seen entered in County Fair Agriculture competitions.
Folks, it doesn't get any better than that.

In my opinion, the Foodtown of Denville/Mt. Tabor is small, outdated and dingy. It needs a total renovation. It does not appear to be anywhere near as clean as the nearby A&P in Denville, and it is not as modern. This store and the other few remaining Foodtowns are exceptionally expensive. The Denville Foodtown would be my last choice among area food markets, even if I have to drive a few miles.

This is a great little grocery store. The variety is limited, but the helpful staff more than makes up for it. There are never long lines so you can get in and out of the store quickly.
PROS: great staff, short lines
CONS:
