Don't know much about the practice but would like to let everyone know that an excellent doctor is joining MPG. I've been taking my 3yo and my baby to see Dr. Isaacson since their birth. She is great; always asks the right questions and has a great advice. She even taught us a little trick on how to come down a colicy baby at 6 weeks without any medication. She understands that every baby is different and develops at different speed and does not overmedicate if not necessary. We are 40 minutes away now and still considering seeing her.

Totally Unprofessional
I am a nurse and embarassed to be in the medical profession along with Dr Jordan. My husband and I were requesting an alterante vaccination schedule and were met with an angry and unprofessional doctor who chose to use scare tactics and a rude tone when lecturing us. Dr Jordan did not engage us in a conversation to address our concerns or counsel us in a professional manner. This is 2009 and we should address the growing concern over the amount of scheduled vaccinations for an indiviual visit as well as the increase in childhood diseases/disorders.I am a parent first and how dare a doctor lecture me on worrying about the well being of my child.

We LOVE this practice. My Daughter (5) has been with Dr Jordan since birth and my son(2) has been with Dr Chazen since birth. Both have different styles but both put your mind at ease and tell you the truth. Nurse line is awesome! Can leave a message any time during the day and they always call you back. Never had a problem with same day sick visits. Nurses and Dr treat children with respect and kindness. Desk staff is not chatty, but I could care less. That is not why I am there.

I've been taking my son to this medical group since he was born 3 years ago. He is 'assigned' to Dr. Chazen, who is absolutely wonderful. He is very knowledgible, and keeps up on the latest medical news -- but balances it with his vast knowledge of what has worked in the past. When I feel neurotic about something, he always puts me at ease. The other doctors are wonderful as well - especially Dr. Palladino, who admitted my son to the hospital for a virus when he was 6 months old -- VERY ATTENTIVE. We know he is in good hands.

I would not recommend this practice to anyone. We moved to the area and went here for a few months. They were very impersonal and sometimes quite rude. The few times we had an minor emergency question they told us to go to the emergency room and wouldn't even let us talk to a nurse. They seem to be an old practice going through the motions and collecting bills. We found a new doctor in the area and are very happy. There are a lot of good doctors around to choose from. There is no reason to put up with the rude staff and the uninterested doctors here.

We were basically kicked out of the practice because we questioned the doctors and wanted to follow an alternative vaccination schedule. We're 100% for getting all vaccinations for my daughter but wanted to spread them out because we were concerned with the aluminum content in the multiple vaccines this practice uses. Aluminum toxicity can cause neurological harm. They didn't want to hear it and said if we don't follow their schedule we should go elsewhere - so we did.

I picked the office because it is in my insurance plan and is not too far from home. There are four doctors, two older men and two younger women. I have seen all of them at one time or another, but I prefer the women, Dr. Jordan and Dr. Palladino.

Seems like they are pretty conservative in their recommendations, generally. For infants, this is what I've observed so far: they want you to use rectal thermometers, they may advise supplementing pretty quickly if you are breastfeeding, and they definitely dont recommend solids until 6 months. You may find that you disagree with them quite a lot.

The Red Bank office is rather old and cramped. The scales there are old and inaccurate, so I usually weigh my child at home. The Wall office is new, but smaller and I think I've only seen Dr. Jordan there. I find that the staff in both offices are nice and the nurses are very competent and fun.

I don't question that my child is getting good care. He can be seen on every day of the year except for Christmas Day. But beware that you might find that they aren't as supportive of newer ideas as some doctors might be.

PROS: Same-day appointment available. Some staff are patient friendly.

CONS: Many pre-appointment requirements need to be faxed in. Some staff are NOT patient friendly. Nurse and doctor were NOT baby friendly.

NOT for those who just moved to the area and want a sick baby appointment.

I felt uneasy and judged. The receptionist was short with me & had the audacity to ask if the visit would be one where I'd visit once and didn't come back again! What does it matter, my baby was sick and I requested care. Furthermore, if I liked the doctor (AND the staff) I would make future appointments. Also, some info that I had called in was wrong in my file.

As mentioned above, the nurse and doctor were not baby friendly. In fact, this was the first nurse who has made my baby cry when taking her rectal temperature. NOT gentle, not caring. Doctor hardly assessed the baby, he was ok but because of the other staff I will NOT be going there again. These type of people should not be in the medical field, specifically in PEDIATRICS where you deal with infants and children.

Rooms are cramped and the equipment is outdated. I don't see why anyone goes there. Find another Pediatric office.

Monmouth Pediatric Group is top notch! I am a first-time mom and they were very helpful when my daughter became dehydrated due to a virus and had to be admitted to the hospital. They checked on her status and were informative every step of the way. They made a very traumatic event easier for my husband and myself. These doctors have a wonderful bed side manner and are very professional.

I have taken my daughter to Monmouth Pediatric since she was born and absolutely love the care she has received. Dr. Jordan would tell me that my daughter was perfect and as a brand new mom, that is what you wanted to hear. My little girl loves all her doctors and they have been great with her. The nurses are gentle and kind and the front desk is efficient and friendly (a big surprise for any large group!). I love the sick and well child waiting rooms. MPG has always been available to us when my daughter is sick and needs to be seen that day. Sometimes I've been able to come in within a half hour of calling.

I also went to this group when I was a child, but I haven't been happy with my daughter's care. I think that this group would be fine if you have a generally healthy child, but mine has been sick often. I've feel that some of the doctors can be quite condescending when questioned or asked to explain. I've visited the office well over a dozen times this year, and still feel like a stranger to the staff. I'm dissappointed because I expected to be very happy here, since I went to them as a child, but we are moving on...

I've been taking my daughters there since they were born and we've been there quite often! The nurses are so nice and friendly - they know who you are when you come in. When my girls are sick I know that I can always get seen that day. Sometimes there is a long wait, but they try to get to you as soon as they can. The docs spend a lot of time with you if you need it and answer all your questions, no matter how silly they may be.

This pediatric group has board certified pediatricians who are top notch. They are extremely thorough and well educated, friendly and easy to communicate with, and make sure all of your questions are answered. They are great with the kids, and the office staff is nice too, which is an added bonus. The office is clean and has both sick and well waiting areas, which is great so your kids don't get sick if they are there for well visits. Very clean and the doctors are great. Highly recommend!
