What a waste of time. Bought an Amazon deal for $49 A/C tune up. Went in on Monday and waited for TWO HOURS before they even told me they didn't have the tube on their machine to put in more freon. But I kept my cool, and dropped my car off on Saturday at 9.30 after they ordered the part for their machine. Asked them to also replace my tail light while I was in, said I would be back at 1, and they said that was plenty of time. They called me just before 1 while I was on my way back, so I made sure they had the A/C and the light done with no problems. They said they were about to do the light, as if they had forgotten and I just reminded them. Still, no problem - this is a ten minute job. I showed up fifteen minutes later and they were starting the light. Ok, I thought, this will be fast. 45 minutes later I asked - what's the problem? And after all that time THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET TO THE TAIL LIGHT. I am a 23 year old woman, and last time I did the tail light MYSELF. I told them to just forget it and give me the car. They tried to charge me nearly $200, and I told them I had the Amazon deal - then they STILL charged me an additional $60 ON TOP OF the $45 I paid through Amazon. I should have argued, but honestly I just wanted to get out of there. I wasn' the only one waiting, either - someone had been there for so long that he BROUGHT A UKULELE. Another guy had gone out to grab breakfast AND lunch.

I expect terrible service through Groupon-type deals, but I don't expect terrible service AND extra charges. The moral of the story- don't waste your time with this shitshow.

Warning. They are liars and robbers. They said my rattle was caused by two equally expensive problems, one of which was dangerous. I had the so called "dangerous" problem fixed because I was told that would decrease the rattle noise. In summary, I lost $400 due to the lies and the noise did not lessen one bit. When I went back, they said I could only keep the broken part they took out for $50.00 because they couldn't sell it for "rebuilding." On the highway afterward, I noticed my hood was not shut. I didn't check reviews first; it was a tough time in my life and I wanted the problem simply and quickly fixed. They joked when using the N. word when I first walked in. When I tried to complain to the manager, saying that the problem was reduced 0 percent, he started yelling at me F*** YOU. A reputable mechanic later tightened what was needed for free. Days later they said they had the broken part, which I didn't pick up from them; I don't believe that it was the real part from my car. Times are better for me now and if my money isn't returned, I will have to lodge complaints wherever I can to protest matters, By the way, this is the first negative review I ever wrote publicly in my life.

These guys are pretty solid. When I had a slight fender bender and my side mirrors was damaged, they ordered the parts and had it fixed repaired in 3 days. They were also kind enough to get someone to fix the dangling mirror in the mean time so I can get to where I was going free of charge. I tipped the guy though.

They were also very reasonable with their tune up charge. When I went to them for my 60,000 mile tune up, they told me that there was nothing wrong with it aside from routine maintenance. When I was like "Oh there's really nothing?" They joked "well, we could make something up, lol"

They also seem to have a regular clientele that keeps coming back, so if they were in the business of ripping people off, I don't think they would keep coming back.

We have been using Quality Auto for years, and they are always great. They are responsive, respectful of our time, and always do a good job. If we have a question or concern and voice, it, they address it. If they repair something, and we think it is still of, they will look at it again and fix it. They have always treated us with care and with understanding, and have been very kind to our family and our budget. We have been going there since we moved to Bloomfield, I think, and have recommended them to others. I think the key is building a trusting relationship.

My mother had been going to Quality Auto during 2002-2004 years, and recently stopped. For some odd reason, during this period of time, my mothers number of trips to the mechanic increased 8 fold. I cannot say they were taking advantage of my mother but, after leaving quality auto and going to a different mechanic, she hasn't gone to the car repair shop in over a year and a half. Also, during one occasion they repaired "lug nuts" which they said were necessary without me or my mother's consent.

PROS: close to the house. Very pleasant conversationalist.
CONS: Repaired the car without consent. bad repair jobs.

Larry LoSchiavo-Store Manager Without knowing who this is, it is hard to say what really happened or what misunderstanding there is. As for reasons for visits to a service garage-a vehicle should be serviced at least 4 times a year just for oil changes alone and once every 2 years for the rest of the fluid changes. That does not include the other services that a vehicle may require, like brakes, belts, hoses, tune ups, inspections and etc.. As for the lug nuts-If their vehicle was in for a tire rotation, tires, brakes or any other number of reasons to remove the vehicles tires and the the wheel stud or lug nuts stripped or were damaged, yes we would of repaired them because of the safety issue. If we repaired them without consent, then our apologies to this person and his mother.

Right after we moved to bLOOMFIELD , we had to have out out of state car smogged checked so we found this place. We used a $5 off coupon and the price was very reasonable and they did a good job considering we passed the smog test. Plus they were fast and very friendly and efficiant. I would definately go there for other auto work if needed.

This place does a decent job but they aren't the most talkative associates. I mean they had a question about something with my service and instead of calling me to ask, they waited until I came back.
