How many times have you walked into a comic book store and have been uncertain as to who the owner is, since all you see is a bunch of guys playing a role playing game, and none of them are paying attention to you? Wild Pig Comics is not that type of store, they don't sell cards for games, their focus is comics, and lots of them. They have an extensive collection of new titles, and an enormous selection of back issues, many available for just $1. I remember leafing through the $1 books and saying "This is a good comic in great condition, what's it doing here?" Chris the owner said, "I don't have the space in the other bins, so it's $1."

Chris is an utlra-conservative grader, sometimes rating books as Fine that most comic book stores would have you believe are near mint.

Wild Pig Comics offers deep discounts to people who reserve there, and all reserved titles come with bags and boards.

I've been to a lot of comic book stores up and down and all around this state, from Fair Lawn to Old Bridge, and I've never met an owner as knowledgeable and as passionate about comics as the one at Wild Pig. You may have to make the first move, since he's not a pushy owner, and he's not the type to just start chatting you up about the lastest costume changes and variant covers but if you like good comics and would like suggestions for what to read, he's your man. PROS: Back issues graded and priced fairly; super-knowledgeable owner
CONS: limited parking
