Ratings_icons Cowtown Flea Market is the BOMB

Kim J.

I went to Cowtown this year as a matter of fact September,2009. I really enjoyed my experience. I had not been since I was pregnant with my son who is now 15 years old. I want to go back in February. I am wondering will it be open then. I enjoyed my D&B purses, perfume and loved the little restaurant's breakfast. I have the real D&B but my fake one from Cowtown looks just as real as the fake one. I live close to two flea markets and sorry but they are dumps and Cowtown is the bomb. KDJ Salisbury, MD

Cow Town Flea Market is wonderful. I love my hang bags I got. I get plenty of compliments all day. The perfumes are really cheap too. Ohhhhh....... and my scarfs I bought were amazing. I am going back again this week. Its my new favorite place. I do love my expensive purses. These ones from Cow Town lasted longer and held all my make-up and daily supplies with out a problem. I love saving money. The way I see it is NJ rips you off every year when they raise the tolls. There goes their TAX!!!!!

Ratings_icons Cowtown Flea Market is The Absolute Best

jackie c.

I was introduced to Cowtown two years ago. Best trip I ever made from Maryland. There are lots of things to see, to buy, to leave alone., Sure some of the vendors sell absolute knockoffs. I haven't found one dealer who sells "the real thing", but I did find bags with no designer names. I found shoes I just happen to like. I found gifts for Christmas, rugs for the floors, pots & pans for the kitchen and cologne or perfume for me. I got spices and herbs and and fresh vegetables locally grown. And I got to enjoy a great have-no-damn-business-eating-this lunch. When it was all said and done we left the flea market and stopped on the way home to buy more vegs, and ice cream - and enjoyed the whole day. so, in conclusion, let me tell everyone who wants to listen, you can go ahead and enjoy the day or you can stay away from there and enjoy your days elsewhere. It is a great place to shop for many things that are not illegal or fake or crap. As for taxes: well, some of the vendors do actually collect taxes and some don't. I'm sure there are reasons ... and who cares. I go to have lots of fun like so many other folks. People, if you can't stand the soup get out the pot. Let the rest of us enjoy the many, many flavors.

Arnetta H.

I just love it. There are great bargains and of high quality. I live in Hampton, VA and look forward to coming to Cowtown every chance that I get. I purchase a variety of things, such as double faced watches, jewelry, Tee shirts, Sweatshirts, perfumes including the oils, food vendors are awesome. I love the BBQ Chicken. Everyone is very friendly. It is a great atmosphere to be in.

Ratings_icons Cowtown Flea Market is fun but WATCH OUT ...

Families with young children should be leery of the imported products as they likely contain lead or lead derivatives in paint and materials used to color products. It's very harmful if ingested. That goes for toys. clothes and even those cheap household items you pick up that kids always seem to put in their mouths.

Ratings_icons Cowtown Flea Market is what it is

I think it's awesome. I'm not into the designer stuff so fake or real doesn't matter... they're both junk. I'm not sure why people are so concerned about the fake stuff anyway. What is the difference between a fake person getting real and a fake person getting fake. At least the fake person buying fake is being real. :)

Ratings_icons LOVE IT!!!!!

Shannon M.

I absolutely LOVE Cowtown. There is always something for my 2 year old daughter who is infatuated with Pooh Bear there. People really do need to mind their own business.....Seriously if you don't like Cowtown then don't go. But I am a young single mother of 2 little girls and I will tell you that I cannot afford designer bags, but does that mean that I don't have the right to look just as good as someone who can? If you want to crusade for something, do it for breast cancer research, or the environment, something that matters. Get over yourselves thinking that just because you have had better luck than some people, your a better person. But anyway....I recommend Cowtown to all of those people looking for an enjoyable day full of inexpensive bargains.

Carla C. I think you gave the best advertisement for Cowtown. People know they are getting knock offs and tax free shopping! That is WHY they go! I haven't been there since I was little, but it was fun then. People watching, junk food, silly merchandise etc...

Ratings_icons an old time favorite

Lisa S.

As a child we also went about once a month. While I'm sure there are knock offs, as kids, we never looked at what the designer was. I was more interested in finding POP beads with the marketers who had older items. I enjoyed watching the auctions and just having a great walk through with my family, then watching that great big cow boy vanish in the distance as we drove home.

Now, I look forward to one day taking my two children, and letting them experience inexpensive shopping, antique hunting, and the joy of a nice day spent. Being girls, I am sure they will want those knock offs.. and while I appreciate what others are saying, quite honestly, kids destroy everything. Id rather them get practice now in taking care of a "Prada", then to use a real one. Oh, and I CAN afford, as I have quite a few REAL designers, however, like I said.. when it comes to kids.. Id rather them practice now..lol.. then to end up with a shredded $1200 purse later.

People, there are so many others in this world who sell knock offs. While its illegal, are you going to go after all of them? Seriously.

If I go to Cowtown, it is just to look at people.
Oh Man!
What a time it is!
Great place to find tube socks or a folding knife with a bald eagle sitting on top of a marijuana leaf.
Cowtown is classic!!

Ratings_icons cowtown..a fun day

desiree l.

i have being going to cow town since i was a child. we would go about once a month and it was a fun day for the family and an inexpensive one. the kids were entertained while produce and household items were bought and the added enjoyment of those illegal knockoffs. to H.H. i would like to commend you for your high standards on illegal trade and also your kindness in pointing out lucy b.'s failure in grammar usage. to carla c., appalled by the fraudulent tax schemes, i must say that i lose sleep over those tax dollars which will never reach the pockets of some our most upstanding, thieving, drugging and whoring political figures who set such a wonderful example to us. battle on! I'm sure there's nothing better to fight for.

I got a fake Louis from here, and my fake lasted longer then my boss's real one..hers was $1,000 and her zipper broke and the balls on it faded...and mines was $35 and still looks brand new..People who shop there know the bags are fake, they just want a good deal. Its a great place, and you will always leave with something. I rather buy 10 knock offs for the price of 1 real one. If you are too boogie to buy a fake bag, dont go to cowtown, and stop trying to put other people down for going there..obviously it wasn't that bad if you were there.

If you folks are so concerned about the items that are sold at Cow Town, walk across the street and report it to the State Police. I'm sure they will take your complaint.

Ratings_icons Cowtown's not a bad market at all...

H. H.

I often shop at Cowtown, and have always found something to buy. As for knock-offs, they are both illegal and those who knowingly buy them are adding to an ever-growing problem. If you can't afford an original, buy something by a maker you can afford.Selling counterfeit merchandise is a crime (sooner or later the authorities will end that practice at Cowtown) and buying it is hardly excused by claiming you can't afford an original.By the way, perhaps Lucy B should do a little shopping there for a spelling and grammar book.

Ratings_icons The flea market is a great place

Stop writing negative things about the cow town flea market . They have great bargains. Why would the person writing negative things want to put that the flea market has counterfeit stuff. Everybody needs to mind there own business. The unit states is in a deficit so people have to do the best they can to survive in this day in age.Who ever is writing negative stuff they need to worry about them selves.

That is what the flea market is for...to get the knock-off. If you want the real thing and pay twice the cost then you need to go to the retail store. People know certain items are knock-offs which is why the flea markets is so popular.

Ratings_icons Cowtown flea market filled with illegal counterfeit merchandise

carla c.

Cowtown flea market is filled with counterfeit fake merchandise. There are counterfeit Kate Spade bags, fake Prada bags, fake Coach purses, fake and counterfeit purses from almost every designer. You can also find counterfeit and fake clothing, shoes, blankets, etc. Most of the vendors do not collect sales tax so you save an extra 6% on your counterfeit fake merchandise. This is a large indoor and outdoor market. Anything you desire can be found and it is all counterfeit sold to you by vendors with no sales tax license and no sales tax being collected. What a rip off.

Ratings_icons Cowtown has it all!! Get going!

Cynthia D. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,607

Cowtown is a huge indoor/outdoor flea market open year round. This hidden gem in the country makes shopping for house supplies including food, cleaning, etc. very easy and affordable for everyone. You can also find leather supplies which is great because this area doesn't have too many leather dealers. They also have a rodeo out front and huge characters for children to see outside.

PROS: Lots of products, cheap deals
CONS: Only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays

Ratings_icons Best place to find a bargain!

Jodie V. | insider Insider | Rank: 18,404

Go on a Tuesday when the weather is good- You will find any and everything in the field. The flea marketers have a huge mix-some junk, but always something to be bought. The buildings are open year round and the food is great, but the field makes it a great experience!
