Contemporary Staffing Solutions contacted me via email after seeing my resume on monster.com. At first, I thought it was okay. But then, strange interactions have me wondering... they make me very uncomfortable. First, they did not ask to meet me in person and complete paperwork.
She write me about a position covering for a permanent employee on maternity leave. She shouldn't have shared that the person was on maternity leave - that's personal. Plus, she also stated details about the length of assignment relating to this person's due date - how unprofessional. I don't even know (or care) about the someone's personal business, and she shouldn't have shared that information - I don't even know the company or the person..

She immediately emailed me another assignment and i didn't hear back after submitting my resume. She keeps asking for my resume for each new assignment, within one day, when she already has my resume - it doesn't make sense. Then she said someone from the client company would do a phone interview with me, and I agreed. I received a call from Alyssa in King of Prussia, and she asked me what Lilly had told me about the assignment - really! You don't talk to each other? I was not available to start the day they offered, because I had medical situation that I am dealing with - so I stated that I was unavailable, but that I could start the next day, if they could be little flexible, I would appreciate it. She never got back to me.

However, she sent me an email about another position and the interview had to be right at the same as my medical appointments. I politely explained to her again, that I could not make the interview at that time, but i was available the next day (same thing I had told her before). She responded that this was to actually start the job - no interview- just go there and start. She then sent me a message, 'what time is your obligation, because this job starts at X' I responded, that I have a life situation - it is critical and necessary, and if there was any way I could start when she wanted, that I would, unfortunately, time x is the best I can do. This is the third time, she kept insisting on scheduling over my medical appointments - I didn't tell her it was medical related because that is none of her business. I did offer her alternate times that were close to the original time, and asked for some flexibility -she demanded that I take the assignment at 1:00 p.m when i couldn't be available till 2:00 p.m. Very unreasonable. I will say here, that my health situation is very serious. The fact that I work despite it, is amazing.

What is really weird is that I never filled out paperwork with this agency, and yet they are pressuring to start a job. Then, she has been sending me emails for totally unsuitable jobs, and she does it daily. I feel very pressured and she really needs to back off.

I just wish she would leave me alone - I am really looking for a permanent position anyway.

This agency is such a waste of time!!
I worked with a recruiter by the name of NICOLE SKAY. Who was very rude and unprofessional!! She sent me on a few interviews. After giving me shirt noticing of a up coming interview, which would be for the day she is telling me about the job, to to not hearing anything back once the interview is over! To her continuing to say they don't have any work available yet they continue to post jobs on the internet! To finally coming up with an excuse of (DIDN'T YOU NOT SHOW UP FOR AN ASSIGNMENT???)
Very confused and upset I asked her if she has me mixed up with someone else. Because you have yet to even find me and assignment!?! She then goes on to say well I offered you a position and you declined it sooooo I WONT BE ABLE TO TRUST you anymore!!

Huh?? So after spending months with you wasting time and gas. This is the best you come up with?! This company sucks !! Don't waste your time!

I am very disappointed in the services that CSS has provided me. I had previously worked for them for 9 months at PHH mortgage and when my temp postion ended in April I have been getting the run around. I am really confused since my previous experience with them was wonderful. When the position ended is when the trouble began. I didn't recieve a call to even let me know my postion had ended. When I went to work in the morning my security badge wouldn't work. I had to speak to security and then call the agency, and the receptionist didn't really seem to care about how embarrassed I was that I was trying to enter a building I didn't work at anymore. The receptionist claimed that they had called but I didn't have any incoming messages on my cell or home number from them. Anyway I have been trying since April to get replaced at PHH or another postion with them and have had no success. Whenever I call the receptionist claims that the person I am contacting is not available (Jennifer Evans, Erica, and Kim) And when I do manage to talk to a coordinator I never recieve a return call even when promised by Kim to recieve one by five o'clock the same day. What is especially aggravating is I keep getting e-mails from the agency telling me to e-mail my resume in order to be considered for a postition and when I call to check on the position the receptionist won't put me through to anyone or let me leave a message she just tells me to resend my resume. (Why, when they already have it and supposedly I am on some call back list) Another issue I had was after recieving yet another e-mail from them I called and was told to come in and fill out paperwork since they didn't have completed paperwork on me. (Really, I just worked for them a year ago! Did they lose it or something?) So I spent an hour and a half filling out paperwork and then meet yet another coordinator who told me that Kim would contact me about a position. As you guessed I never recieved a call. I just don't understand this unprofessional behavior, especially when I was such a good employee for 9 months.

My recruiter, Jennifer Evans, ended my 3 year dry spell of horrible temp jobs and unemployment when she placed me in my current temp position. I finally feel like I have my foot back in the door and am on my way to a great career. It is hard to start over at a childless 34 but I am confident that I am on my way to something great.
Thank you Jennifer and thank you CSS!

Do not waste your time with this temp agency! They are completely unprofessional, rude, disorganized, and immature. Any nice review on this site is clearly an inside job. These horribly vile women are not what someone who is stressed about finding work needs to deal with. They are condescending and they will not find you any work! First, they forgot that they had scheduled an interview with me and acted like I was a complete inconvenience to them. Then, when I finished my interview and waited to fill out paperwork, I heard the woman I met with making fun of me and complaining about how annoying it was that I came in. One of the receptionist also rolled her eyes at me when I asked if I could use the bathroom. These women clearly hate their jobs so how can you except them to care about yours. It has been a few weeks and I have heard nothing from them, and they were so mean to me I am afraid to call. I read these reviews before I went to their office and believe me, you will think of these reviews when you consider the time you wasted going to their office.

I have been very happy with dealing with this agency. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and helpful whether its in person or on the telephone. I have been dealing with Jennifer Evans and she is trying to help me find employment the best that she can in this tough economy. I email or call to follow up with her and get a response from her right away and it is a pleasure working with her. She is a real asset to the company and helps you as much as she can. I am registered with many agencies and this is the one that has taken the time and trying to help me find employment.

I had a great experience with this company. My coordinator Amy Rotella, was excellent. She helped me find a great job at A.C. Moore HQ which worked out very nicely for me as I moved from a temp to permanent placement.

She was always there to answer any questions I had and whenever I had a problem she was right there to help me resolve it.

She really cares about her clients. She would stay up to date with me the whole way. Amy was always asking me how I was doing, if I liked my new job, and whether or not I heard from the people at AC Moore if they were going to keep me on permanently.

When I first came into CSS, I was applying for a different job in a warehouse environment. After seeing my resume Amy thought I was not going to be very satisfied with the job I originally applied to. She did some searching and told me about AC Moore's new opening for a Merchandising Coordinator. That alone showed how dedicated she was to make a right fit for her clients.

I would definitely recommend this temp agency to a friend and I would most certainly tell them to try to get Ms. Rotella as their coordinator. She was top notch.

Beyond Unprofessional I can't Believe Jennifer Evans still has a job. They must be desperate for help.
She is beyond rude and callous. Why are we lying at a temp agency for a job that pays little to no money anyway. I am not going to cry if I don't get the job. CSS clearly believes it is the end all to be all!!!! After so many negative reviews about this girl and yet she is still employed!!! Someone needs to call the corporate office on this Jennifer Evans cause it is an embarrassment to upper management. Why are you talking about prospects while they are waiting for an interview, but yet your too busy to interview. Don't waste your time with CSS period.

I'm really, truly enjoying my placement with Subaru, Pennsauken NJ with this agency. Having good skills with AP, Admin, and other business skills, I just happened to be driving past this agent, so I stopped in, and after signing up with them a week later, (also EMAILING CSS my resume so that clients can get contacted quicker), I was called THE SAME DAY with this great assignment-good pay, great exposure to different software, and excellent co-workers as well!!

I must say that even with a crazy economy, constant calls/emails from candidates, clients, etc. my Coordinator, Amy Rotella, was very efficient in working with me, getting me through background and drug screens, the detailed interview with the client, and even a 2nd contact with CSS to get into the assignment. It was all well worth it, and if you've got GREAT skills to bring to the table, (Excel, Word, Outlook, any Software packages, etc), I STRONGLY suggest that you give CSS a try--They're working great with me...maybe it could be YOU next...Good Luck in your Job Search!!

I've worked at PHH mortaged through Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) for about 6-7 months. I had what Contemporary likes to call an "assignment" at PHH and I was released just a few weeks before Christmas holiday. I was consistent with CSS for them to find me new work before Christmas.. I mean, there's car notes, bills, there's gifts I need to buy for kids and families etc. However, the staff at CSS especially Jennifer Evans shows absolutley no initiative or work ethic in helping customers find a new job. No matter what time of the day I call, Jennifer is ALWAYS "in a meeting", "at lunch", or my personal favorite... "she just stepped out". Jennifer Evans is unprofessional and extremely manipulative. From the pay rate she claimed I would get to her monkey business that keeps you on a marry-go-round. I will NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!

I guess I'm totally confused because I had an awesome experience with Contemporary Staffing! I found the staff to be professional and extremely helpful in assisting with my job search. They even took the time to make suggestions on how I could update my resume to increase job opportunities. I would highly recommend Contemporary to my friends and family. I've been working for them for over 8 months now!

I feel for those people that seem to be dissatisfied with contemorary staffing but, I went there walked through the red tape as everyone does and not 3 days later i received a phone call asking me if I wanted to work at PHH (Motgage Company). I came in and started working the very next day! The only bad experience having to work for them is the pay rate is totally unfair! I multitask juggling 4 different jobs a day, never late, never miss, and ocused hard worker! Just wish that I was compensated correctly.

Contemporary Staffing absolutely SUCKS and they lie!!!! Especially Jennifer Evans. Thank the Lord someone else mentioned her because it absolutely validates my experience with her. Contemporary Staffing has the contract with PHH Mortgage and TRG. Those companies along with Lockheed Martin are the biggest employers in Burlington County. Therefore Contemporary sends dozens of temps to PHH and TRG a day. There are more temps working at PHH and TRG than there are permanent works.

Yet Jennifer Evans lies and lies and lies about availability there. Also she lies about the type of candidates they hire. The vast majority of employees at PHH and TRG had ZERO mortgage experience before working there. They have hundreds and hundreds of former waiters, waitresses, bartendars, mall employees, cashiers, etc working there. And the vast majority of their loan officers were put into originations after going through Contemporary Staffing and working in another PHH/TRG department. Yet when I and others have told her about our vast mortgage experience she says, "That's great but you're still not qualified". Oh yeah, not qualified to fax documents, perform data entry, make 50 outbound calls, receive 50 outbound calls at $10.00 and hour???? A freaking monkey could fill any of those temp positions. SHE IS A FREAKING LIAR.

GREAT NEWS!!! Another temp agency is starting to take over or PHH and TRG within the next week!!!!

I was waiting for an interview for hours people who came in after me was seen first. There were other applicants there after their interview the employees at contemporary started making jokes and laughing about them after they left. Also someone was calling in to check on her pay, the receptionist let everyone in their office know that she was tired of this lady calling about her pay....In my humble opinion they were not professional at all...setting appointments and having people wait for hours, and having their staff talk negatively about the people they employ in a small office where everyone can hear every word that is being said....I would not work for them and I would not recommend anyone work for them aswell

I had an assignment with this agency and they have a habit of not letting you know when an assignment is up (even though they know when). When the time comes that the job has expired they don't even have the decency to let you know after the job or before the job that day at the least, that it has expired, but instead they call you at 10pm to let you know or when your on your way to work in the morning. I had problems with one staff member in particular "Jennifer Evans", She is slow to follow up on clients and customers. This is so bad for the agency that I even heard it from the clients they contract themselves. There's no cosideration for the customers (that would be us) who actually bring in the income for this agency. Oh, and as far as work abailability, come on now this is an agency, for them to say they have nothing available is like me saying, I'm hear but not ready to work...or is it that all they do is eat and twitle their thumbs all day. I would not recommend this agency to anyone, it is Unethical in its practices.

conteporary staffing had a big ad in the newspaper that they had all this work available. I went and filled out the application, etc. they never called me with anything. I think these temporary agencies do this just to get their quoto of signing people up. they do have a real nice office though. but for me it was a total waste of time.
