Absolute worst experience in any kind of medical/dental office in my entire life. Only went because my dentists offices lease was up and they merged with this office. I had a dental emergency and couldn't wait for my dentist so I took whoever could see me within the week. Got to the office at 4:30 waited in waiting room until 5:15. Was brought in the back and placed in a room for X-rays. The exam rooms have no doors and two doors down a child was screaming bloody murder which you could tell was annoying the staff and upsetting the patients. Waited in this room for 40 minutes before being moved to another room while they x-rayed another patient. This room had multiple dead flies on the floor, boxes of supplies all over the floor, a tray of dental impressions laid out on the counter and miscellaneous debris strewn across the counters. Staff bickered and complained loudly in the hallway outside of all the exam rooms where every patient could hear them. I waited another hour before being moved to a third room. The dentist, having never met me cussed up and down, complained about how late it was, stated he never gets out on time and seemed frankly a little put out that I was inconveniencing him by being there. The work took about ten minutes total but halfway through the root canal he left a file in my tooth to take a phone call. The hygienist took and X-ray with the file still in there as well. They only realized it was still in there when they realized I couldn't answer their question because I couldn't close my mouth. Then the doc and hygienist start bad mouthing one of my actual dentists knowing I was from the other office, calling Dr. Fred "Captain Kangaroo". Was given nothing for pain and no after care instructions. Told receptionist I would have to call another time to schedule second part of the procedure. RIGHT. I will NEVER step foot into this dirty, unprofessional mockery of a dental office ever again.

Very nice experience at this office. My husband, my daughter and I are all patients. Cleanings are always thorough and they made my young daughter feel at ease. I recommend for families.

Don't ever go to this Dental Office..I needed 2 teeth pulled and they quoted me a price of $500 for the entire visit and I paid in full the balance for that days visit with my credit card! Since I needed more work done, they offer me this plan called Springstone which they explained to me that it was like a credit card with free interest for 12 months..I said ok on this with a original $5000 credit limit. Since I needed more work then that the next office visit they said I should really take out another $5000 in credit and the coned me again and I did, again interest free for 12 months!!!.Please don't do this because they lied and miss lead me into this plan..They did not state to me that they would get the whole $10,000 from Sringstone upfront before the work was even done..On my second visit I asked for a printout for the work that was done for that day.and it was $1125 which was put on the Springstone account! By this time I got a bill from Springstone and called them and said the amount was wrong and that's when they told me that the Dentists already got the $10,000 upfront and I had to deal with them on this matter..I went in on 11-04-2013 to ask for my Itemized bill and it tripled from the amount I owed for my first and second visit! I cancelled the Springstone account but I still owe the $10,000 that was paid to them upfront..They lie to me when trying to get someone in billing to settle this matter by keep on saying they are not in today! They are completely ignoring me! I have had it and filed a police report,,I am going to a lawyer, and reporting them to the Dept. of Banking and Ins., The Dental Board..It is unethical of their practice to lie and deceive people into this sort of plan! Don't do it! They are money hungry liers! I will not stop until this is settled!!!

NIGHTMARE!! After a long( hour)wait in a small office I was called back. They took x-rays even though I brought my own that was less than three wks. old. The room was filthy (the waiting room was cleaner), tools were not covered or wrapped, and a live fly in the spit bowl. Starting to rethink this place I went out front to call hubby whom made my appointed. I decided to suck it up because teeth are really bad. When I returned Dr. Maron ( oral surgeon) was in the room and seemed agitated by the fact I wasn't waiting for him when he arrived. The only thing he said was,"What teeth are we pulling?" I told him (2 xrays?) He proceeded to ask me again, and I repeated which teeth & told him they're the only 2 on that side so it shouldn't be to hard to find them. He took the needle jabbed it into my gums (no topical/numbing ointment applied) causing me to visibly clench up my body & clutching the chair I moan in pain, he jabs me again harder than the first leaving me to push his hand away from my mouth, he replies "that should numb ya up" at the moment I'm flying out of the chair. I exclaim "that's not how you numb a mouth, I'm out of here!!" I gather my kids from the waiting room visibly shaken and leave. A dental assistant follows me out asking me if I want to go back. Of course I told her No!! & that I've had dental work &that's not how it's done. Get out to parking lot with numb mouth & spitting blood. Overall a complete nightmare. Please don't take your family to this Dr. Moran (works @ other offices too) The perfect smile worst experience I've ever had with the medical field. I would rate 0 if I could.

Not really sure where to begin.. I had one the strangest experiences at The Perfect Smile in Red Bank, NJ. The doctor was one of the goofiest most unprofessional people I've ever meet in the medical field. To make a long story short, I simply went in for a cleaning. However he wanted to fix my front tooth with a machine he had in his car. I thought he was joking but he was dead serious. Then he wanted to cut my gums on one side of my mouth so that they're symmetrical. After I firmly said that I only wanted a tooth cleaning, he had the manager "Valerie" come into the room and tell me my teeth need a deep cleaning for an extra $180 because their "cleaning procedure" which they actually called a polishing, would not be effective on my teeth. I've been getting my teeth cleaned every six months for my entire life and never heard all the problems they said I have with my teeth. I ended up walking out extremely frustrated and they would not refund my copay. BTW, if you recommend 5 friends to the Perfect Smile practice you will be entered in a drawing to win a WII system per the display on the coffee table. They must be hurting for cliental.

Where do I start?
Not with a perfect smile. If there was ever a rating system that starts with minus "0", that would be the rating I'd give this group of "charlatans". I am 69 years old, never in my whole life did I ever come across a group of incompetent, money grabbing, professionally inefficient so call "licensed" people. Started with a visit when I needed to correct a couple of fillings which needed repaired, two months later I found myself back at the office fixing that previous repair which still wasn't done correctly since the dentist that corrected it did a rush job and failed to buff up the teeth in question and both teeth were left with edges which were extremely uncomfortable to live with.
When I returned for the third timeI was assigned Dr Taylor who, by the way, was not very friendly, didn't even introduce himself to me, a basic protocol when a professional Dr meets a new patient. He proceeded to inject me with anesthesia, as he inserted the needle, he hit a nerve which made me scream with excruciating pain. A pain never felt in my whole existence and literally made me jump off the chair. Stupidly, he screams at me and says, "DON'T MOVE, DON'T MOVE" as if, at that moment, I had any control of my convulsing body and the pain inflicted by hitting that nerve. He then tried to save face by saying that this was normal; Yeah right! Everyone in the office heard my scream and they came around to find out what had happened; he got extremely nervous and embarrassed and proceeded to warn me if I trusted him or not as a doctor to continue, I said, excuse me sir but I don't want you to touch me ever again ever! and then proceeded to walk out of the office. That should have been a "sign" for me to stay away from this place, but due to my insurance plan restrictions I was forced to go back and have said problem corrected, in which case Dr. Julie was the newly assigned dentist to my case. This time the anesthesia was applied properly and she went on to supposedly correct my problem. A month later I am back because the filling she had previously completely fell out and I ended up with a big hole in my tooth. Dr. Julie examined the tooth and told me that I needed a Crown which would cost me out of pocket $400.00 plus another $100.00 for some sort of preparation needed for its installation (never heard of that one before), nevertheless I agreed to go with the procedure and asked her how long will it take to get the crown made and she said 2 weeks; they then demanded that I pay the $500.00 up front. Three weeks went by without hearing from the office which prompted me to call to find out what was going with the crown; only for them to tell me that the crown was in but Dr. Julie was on vacation for the next 2 weeks; I asked if there was someone else who could install the crown for me and she said no one was available to do it and had to wait for Dr Julie to come back; to which I responded with indignation the a lack of responsibility and consideration on her part she had for her patients, by not assigning someone to do the work while she was going to be absent. After over a month of waiting, she finally installed the crown after a 10 minute bout trying to remove the temporary piece (there's got to be a better way to remove it!) Late that afternoon, I called her to complain about a terrible pain I had with the tooth but she was not available; so I left a message with the receptionist for her to call me back since I needed some medication to relieve the pain. But no dice, even until today, she's never returned my call! .....imagine, what kind of Dr are we talking about here? Oh! I forgot to mention that after paying them $500.00 up front for this crown, they had the nerve to charge me a co-pay fee on the "follow up" visit the day they installed the crown, ......money hungry? nah! Today, I'm still not able to chew on that side of the mouth because the crown is pressing on the nerve and I jump with pain every time I do; it also hurts on and off throughout the day for reasons that I can't explain.
I am afraid to go back and submit myself to this group of charlatans, who I do not understand how are they allowed to conduct business on a daily basis. So I am presently looking to go to another Dentist. BTW, There were other bad incidents that transpired with me at this office related to waiting time and billing that would take double the pages for me to explain, but my time is far more precious than to use it to complain about this bunch of morons. My advise is for you to stay far away from this office and its occupants. A word of advise to Valerie Schwab (co-owner), pay attention, you are not minding your business properly, hire only responsible, competent personnel. Perhaps spreading yourself too thin Valerie.

I only worked there for two days & have gotten lots of patients complaining that the services were horrible. You have to understand that they are doing the best they can do, i will say though that they should never have a patient wait, it is very unprofessional and it was rude. But they are only people and doing the best they can do to try and help. But i do not recommend this place to any one who doesnt like to wait, because some times there visits are an hour or more. There are only two dentist there, Dr.Taylor and some one else, they are completely booked and its normally over booked, SO dont go there if you cant handle the wait.

I have been a patient of perfect smile for the last year. I saw Dr. Taylor recently for a tooth that was really bothering me. I thought it needed a filling, but it was just a grinding problem. Everything was nice and easy. I noticed a lot of people complained about the wait time. This visit was quick. When I need an evening appointment sometimes I've waited for 30-45 minutes give or take. I like this office and have recommended it to the people I work with since they take my insurance in full.

I was scheduled for oral surgery today, so I made the appropriate plans with work and friends so everything would be taken care of.

After waiting for 15 minutes after my scheduled procedure was to begin, I was called in only to be told that the surgeon was sick and couldn't make it in today.

Gee, thanks for the heads up after you've already wasted most of my day. Very unprofessional. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Run from this place! Our dentist retired, needed a new one and with insurance as it is we can only go to certain dentists. In my area that left me with two choices, this one, or another one in a very very bad neighborhood. The appointment was for my 13 yr old son. We waited an hour before we were brought into the dentist room. I wanted to leave when I saw how dirty it was. But did not want to upset my son, they did xrays, but I did not see them, the dentist came in ,did the exam and informed me that my son has 2 cavities. OK. he's a kid. He cleaned and fluoride his teeth, I set up an appointment to have the cavities filled. I called my Insurance to see the cost, so I could be prepared. Went back on day of appointment, and was told I needed to pay them an amount up front before they could do the work, and the amount they stated WAS NOT the amount my insurance told me! In fact it was double, the girl at the desk told me its is for two teeth, and the insurance quoted me for one tooth. I said no... I made sure I told them two.. bla bla... anyway we left, after she made me feel like a total broken down looser because I did not have $258 available to pay up front. Thank GOD I got dental insurance from my employer right after this , we found another dentist, and low and behold.. my son HAS NO CAVITIES at all! They were going to drill and fill cavities he did not have. The new dentist showed me all his Xrays, and did a far more complete exam. He also has copies of the xrays from Perfect Smile, and said they were not my son's!!! They were someone else's! STAY AWAY FROM THERE!

I was scheduled and reschedule to come back over and over for dental work for a year. Work that by any legitimate dental office would have taken a matter of weeks. Every time I showed up the old dentist was gone and a new one was there. No one knew where the last one left off on my procedure. I wasted HOURS in the waiting room and dental chair waiting to been seen while staff ran in and out for cigarettes and spent time texting and chatting. Finally went to a wonderful new dentist and was told it was a good thing they never did any work on me. Perfect Smile never took one xray the whole year. Not even as a new patient, and they would have put new implants over my already infected gums. Perfect Smile does not know what they are doing. The front end staff is discourteous and the dentists are completely UNQUALIFIED and should NOT be practicing!!! AWEFUL EXPERIENCE!!! Your health and safety will be in jeopardy if you let them take care of you.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Dipika Shah for years and we think very highly of her. Not only is she a wonderful dentist but she and her staff have always graciously accommodated us during emergencies or when our schedules have been tight. My first visit to her was on an emergency basis and her treatment saved me from hospitalization. My children, who are young adults now, had their first dental visits with Dr. Shah. She always made them feel comfortable and took the time to instruct them well about the care of their teeth. Neither of them has ever had a cavity, nor have they ever been afraid to seek dental care. And, by the way, she is a really nice lady! Thanks, Dr. Shah! : D

No hygenist, they do not take full sets of xrays. Will do dental procedures without taking an xray or having teeth cleaned. Dentists come and go. Nothing can be resolved without many many visits. They will get you in very quickly if you have pain, but you will not have that pain taken care of properly.

Never seen before the hour mark. Once it was 2 hours. Charged for cleaning never performed to my credit card. When fraudulent charge caught, staff played stupid and made nasty comments. Refuse to reimburse. Very swarmy as to how many cavities I had. Had dental scraping (perio docs good). I was told my silver fillings I've had for 4o years no good, when 2 other dentist said they were fine. They oops-removed, charged me out of pocket and now 3 months later replacement fillings fell out. One filling was too high (3 visits to fix) Now my teeth wobble, all the front are racked & cross over each other. Now it will cost me more to fix damage done. And filling I originally went in for still not filled! DMO? Yeah...right.

I called at 10:00 g0t an emergency appointment at 11:00 and was seen by Dr. Marin who removed the tooth in pain immediately and did a great job. He explained all options and I'm going back for an implant. This was my first time there and they took my insurance. I was so impressed I brought my children later that week the dentist was great with them. No problems great experience.

after a year's worth of incidents with this office, not just one visit I have to say - THE WORST!!!! STAY AWAY!!! This place is a JOKE of an office! I can not even begin to list all the trouble I've had but have been forced to use them because of insurance. EVERY VISIT IS AN HOUR OR MORE WAIT with NO satisfaction in service! That's just RUDE and disrepectful of peoples lives and time. NO legitimate dental office would employ any of the dentists OR the receptionist, who are incapable of ever saying hello, returning phone calls or organizing appointments so that you don't have an hour or more wait. They had me back 5 times over almost a YEAR and STILL no dentures. No one knows what the other one is doing. They're bumbling idiots. They make appointments that they would cancel on me repeatedly and say they'll call back to reschedule and never call again. Which all leads me to believe I believe there is insurance fraud going. This office has been brought up on charges before. And some patients have even reported them to the local police department. It is by FAR the most UNPROFESSIONAL, DISORGANIZED, INEFFICIENT, DISCOURTEOUS, UNCARING, office of any kind, that I have EVER been in. With a waiting room full of seniors the "dentist" (and I use the term loosely) was sitting watching TV in one of the exam rooms while his "assistant" ran around looking for my yet again misplaced file and molds. When I got up out of my chair and went to look for someone and found him with a remote in his hands flipping through channels, I told him I had been waiting almost an hour and commented on it being unprofessional to stand around watching tv and not helping find my chart, or take care of the waiting room full of others that had been there an hour or more. He became belligerent and confrontational and then proceeded to sit out front with the receptionists and gossip about what just happened!!! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN! AND HIS LICENSE REVOKED. Not one person tried to help or even apologize for the ridiculous wait and totally inappropriate behavior of a hostile, angry, arrogant, big huge dentist who was 5 times my size and yelling that it's not HIS fault I had to wait! THE CANDLES AND WATERFALLS ARE A DISTRACTION SO YOU WONT NOTICE THE HORRIFIC AND TOTALLY INCOMPETENT SERVICE!!!

I really like this office. I've been going there for a few years and have never had a problem. In the last few months, they changed the office. It looms really nice with waterfalls and candles. It's very relaxing. I also had a massage while I waited for the dentist by a massage therapist which was great. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've really never had a problem not even with my insurance. I know they have a new insurance biller. She is really nice and takes her time if the insurance denies your claim. Overall a really nice dental office.

NEVER NEVER go here. They got me there by saying my son's insurance was excepted-which it was not. They convinced me to go there 2 days before his appointment because they would charge less than my dentist. They agreed on $400, took 2 hours longer than it was supposed to, knew I was in a huge hurry than to get home to meet my son after school, and charged me $600. I was to talk with them later about it, but after at least 2-3 calls a day, VALERIE refused to get on the phone or call me back, and they refused to agree and settle on the agreed upon price. TOTAL RIP OFF! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I was told my visit would be $100. I was brought in by telling me my son's insurance was accepted there-which it wasn't. After the visit took 2 hours longer than I was told it would be, they charged me $200 more than the agreed upon price. I was told I'd be done in an hour, and with their new dentist, it took 3. I didn't mind that but had to get home to pick up my son. When they charged me the $200 extra, I was in a total rush and complete panic about getting home in time and wanted to discuss it the next day. After MANY phone calls and the person (Valerie) refusing to call me back or get on the phone, they basically said too bad. I was brought there under false pretenses, and over charged. What a scam. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I am warning everyone.... DO NOT GO TO THE PERFECT SMILE! Found out about it online. At the time, there were no comments what so ever on the office because they had just changed their name. Hmmm, I wonder why! Had the worst experience of my life here. Had to get work done on my back teeth (extracted) and they BUTCHERED my mouth! I had my first appointment about 2 months ago, and they told me the pain would go away. First of all, they never numbed my mouth enough so I FELT EVERYTHING! And I am still in pain... I can't drink hot or cold things (must be room temp.), can't have hot of cold foods, and can't chew! My life has been a living hell. I can't even have anything have anything touch my cheeks, and when someone tries to kiss me, I burst out in tears!

DO NOT GO HERE!

Great place for specialty dentists! I got to see the periodontist and orthodontist in one shot. Both dentists were really nice and I got my work started the same day. I didn't have to wait for a referral or anything. I'm an adult who needs braces and did not want metal ones. I am on my last stage of invisalign, and my teeth are perfect! I go to the office once a month for a check up with the orthodontist, and I continue to see the general dentist for my recall appointments. I've never had a problem with anyone in the office. I would highly recommend!

Do not use this dental office. I had a dental cap installed and the tooth is painful to chew on. I will not go back to this office and have additional work done. I will look for another dentist. The hygenists never appeared clean. Their clothing was stained and unkempt.

Lastly, they "lost" the check my insurance company sent them. I am still fighting for reimbursement even though my insurance carrier shows that it was sent to them.

The office is loud and messy. (radio and tv blaring)

The office staff was polite, but that doesn't overcome the overall experience.

Dental work was OK, but office help was rude and all they seemed to care about was $$$$$$$. I was harassed when my insurance company did not pay them in a timely manner. Instead of resubmiting a claim, they called and threathened legal action. Stay away, there are too many other nice and caring dental offices and it is stressful enough - don't need the additional hassel.

My husband and I chose this office because it was in our network. When we walked in we could tell the office was dirty. The staff gave a general impression of being unprofessional. We waited 30 minutes in the waiting room and became more and more uncomfortable as we watched the staff interact. The last straw came when we witnessed the girl behind the counter speak very rudely to a fellow patient who was inquiring about insurance. She never gave the poor woman a chance to speak and humiliated her in front of other patients and her little boy. We got our coats and walked out, feeling a tremendous sense of relief the rest of the afternoon. Trust your gut folks!

This office is horrible, I thankfully did not even get a chance to become a patient. I walked in to inquire about insurance they accept and there was a woman at the front desk, I am assuming she is the office manager, she was yelling at the staff as if I was not even there. I could not believe that someone would treat another human being like this in front of potential patients, needless to say I walked out.
