I love Rainbow! I have been there since 1997 and could not be happier. My oldest has moved onto public school and we were elated at how advanced he was! Our youngest is still there in the toddler room.
The staff are loving and supportive. My son is sad when it is not a "school day" . I am really glad we found Rainbow! I highly recommend!
My children have attended Rainbow for the past three years in their summer camp program. It is great, they travel to a private golf club pool 4 times a week for swimming and take a special trip the other day. I would recommend this center I have been very happy there.
I love Rainbow! My son has been there since 2006. He is now in the four year old room and doing extremely well. We could not be happier with the school. The teachers are loving and caring, and all know who he is even outside his classroom which makes us so comfortable.
We would absolutely recommend this center. They do not practice "time-out" discipline but instead use positive redirection. I have also seen parents stopping tours to tell them how happy they are with the center.
The entire school is filled with artwork that has been created by the children. I can tell you, the art my son creates has been created by him. We truly love it there!!
I would not recommend this center to anyone. My daughter was there for a couple of months. It was actually not that good as what we heard before enrolling her. Perhaps other Rainbow centers are better than this one. You don't feel that it is caring place (i.e., you can tell from the behavior of the head and AM teachers), though the facility looks fine. The teachers do most of the seemingly fancy projects for the children, who are not really learning much.
This school is the best!! It is not just a "daycare" but a school environment. The best part is their very low employee turnover which is very unusual for a child care facility. For this reason my children are very comfortable and familiar with the entire staff, and not just the teachers in their room.
Most of the staff there is child care certified. I feel a lot better going to work with the knowledge of knowing my kids are in a wonderful nurturing facility.
I had my child there for 2.5 years. I was very happy with the toddler room. From 12 - 18 months they put a great deal of emphase on hand language. I do not agree with it and think that it hinders children's speech. They do to many time outs. To not have qualified teachers. They pay the teachers so low that most of the teachers there go there to work becuase they make a little bit more than if they worked at Burger King. The turn over is extremely high.
I took my child out after I arrived early and found that the two teachers in the room were literally screaming at the entire class. Some of the children were crying. I would not recommend this place to any one. After I left, 3 other people took their children out of the same class that my child was in.
It is very expensive.
Calvary, OVer the Rainbow, and Geraldine are much better places.
