Fords Flower Shop

I have been ordering from this shop for many years now,over twenty to be exact, Up until this past week I have highly recommended purchasing flowers from Fords Flower Shop. I had received a dozen roses this past week on Valentines Day & the roses although beautiful as they were & as well as I had taken care of them, didn't last very long. The third day two of them where completely dried out and the fourth day the others were completely wilted.I had called them to explain the situation and all they could say was that they didn't know the conditions in my home. To my surprise they said that the only guarantee is that you can decline to accept them upon delivery if you are not satisfied. I have been ordering and receiving flowers for many many years from Fords Flower Shop. When Connie was the owner she took pride in her business and was a very nice woman who always cared about her customers satisfaction. I personally know that any other florist will guarantee their flowers for at least a week from delivery, as the previous owner always used to. I have been dealing and recommending Fords Flower Shop up until now because as I have said, they have always been highly customer orientated and cared about the customers satisfaction. In any event, I had called the shop promptly after the roses started dying off which was no lack of proper care on my part. I have a humidifier on at all times whenever I am using heat in my home, due to allergies and it's always a comfortable 70%. I had replaced the water with fresh water, cut the roses and even put some 3F Fresh Flower Food in the water. I explained this to them as well. What they had told me in response was, that if I would drive down and return the flowers to their shop that they would in turn give me two or three loose roses as a replacement. This was very unsatisfactory to me being it would have cost me more in gas to take a trip to the florist and also return the vase that my flowers came in, which probably cost more than the few flowers they would have given to me. I was very surprised that the new owner had such little concern for someone that has been a loyal customer. Which explains the policy changes and the fact that once you receive your flowers, and they don't last as long as they should, your just out of luck. If your going to order flowers from Fords Flower Shop my recommendation would be to order your flowers through a company like F T D, 1 - 800 Flowers or Teleflora because they guarantee all of the flowers that you order for at least a week or they will replace them without any problems. Regardless of what florist you ask them to have your order placed with. That way should you have any problems it will be handled responsibly to your satisfaction. I am very displeased and will no longer purchase any flowers from there nor will I recommend the this shop as I have in the past for their outstanding service. It's a shame that a change of ownership has affected their service in this way.

Great florist, very centrally located for quick pick ups. Always have the freshest, prettiest flowers. I've always received fantastic service and they have great gift ideas. Walking into the store makes me feel like I stepped into the worlds largest garden. Wonderful colors, smells, arrangements. I love all their flowers! Highly recommend.

I've been using them for what seems to have bee my whole life. My parents got flowers for my baptism there and I got my flowers for my wedding there - does that say something? They have fresh flowers, I've never had a problem with wilted flowers or something I did't ask for. Any flowers I have had delievered from there have always been beautifully arranged. Their prices are as comparable as other florists.
