DON'T BUY A HORSE FROM THESE LOW LIVES. I BOUGHT A HORSE FROM THEM AND PAID $6000 DOLLARS FOR HIM FOR LOW COMPETEION FOR AN ADULT RIDER AND A TRAIL HORSE. THE HORSE TRIED TO KILL EVERYONE WHO SAT ON IT'S BACK A FEW DAYS AFTER WE GOT HIM

I have gone to Baymar for a short time, and have read over the reviews. I believe that maybe is a great place that indeed does have great champion horses, riding horses, and an overall great environment, despite popular belief, they treat

Baymar is such a good place to ride at. They teach both English and Western. I've been riding here for a year, and have done really good. I jump, canter, etc. My instructor is Luanne, and she is really good. Ellie and Jim Smith are really good instructors, as well as the other instructors. I would recommend Baymar to anyone who either likes to pleasure ride, or who likes to compete. They treat the horses well, and care for them well. For anybody who says Baymar Farms is a horrible, they have no idea what they're talking about. The instructors know what horses for you to ride, and what level you would be in. It's AMAZING!

i love baymar farms! it is the best place on earth! They treat the horses extremely well and the also treat riders well too. everybody that says Baymar is a really bad place obviously has nothing else to do then sit home and trash talk good places. baymar Farms is the best farm in New Jersey.

The one thing that they could do better is not have people be in structors if they never rode/worked there before.

But otherwise baymar is the best!!!!!

The place is terrible. One reviewer who boards there was pretty dead on about the ring being great, Louanne being great, etc, however, just dont bother. For the price Baymar charges there are reputable barns all over the place where the owner does not beat his own horses and his wife (the other owner) can barely make it over a crossrail- yet she is an instructor? They put pony bits in horses mouths because they dont know the difference! Turnout is dangerous as they turnout in herds and theres picnic tables in the way, ice on cement in the winter. The good reviews on here are from uneducated beginners who enjoy the community aspect that Baymar does, in fact, have. However, if you were to stop at any reputable tack shop, which would clearly be unbiased, anyone will tell you it is a low rate walk/trot lesson barn on a large piece of property which attempts to pitch to the show world it knows nothing about. Jim and Ellie Smith should stick to teaching kids how to walk, trot, canter and stop treating their lesson horses like garbage.

Pros: Large Indoor

Cons: Everything Else

We have been with Baymar Farms with our Western Pleasure QH's for over 10 years. In fact we still have our first horse purchased from them who is still winning at QH and at home Key Asset. We give them a horse they send back a champion. We have also sent them ponies and horses for sale that were sold and went on to win classes at the USEF shows as well. I would say this is a great example of an all around barn. They offer lessons english and western, camp, and boarding and training.
