I had attended Am Tree as a toddler until my kindergarten year. I love that school and still remember all of the fantastic memories I had made at the school. If you are a parent searching for a center for your child I will most likely give you the HIGHEST recommendation for Am Tree.

My son started here in September after being at a Family Day Care program since he was 4 months old. I wanted to give him a regular preschool experience because he is turning three and I felt he needed to be with other children his own age but I also need the extended hours that AM Tree offers. I have to say....I'm thrilled with the care that is being given to my son. I can see how happy he is there and how much he is learning. His language has just exploded this past month and he comes home talking about all of the things that they do in his classroom. The teachers are caring, loving and I feel secure leaving him there each day. I can honestly say I've heard mixed reviews about a lot of the preschools around but have not heard one bad thing about AM Tree so I was sort of surprised to see negative comments written here. Unfortunately, it's impossible to please everyone.

I was amazed when a fellow worker told me about the negative review that was provided regarding Am-Tree. She is a new mother and has always heard me rave about my time at Am-Tree with my 2 children and was excited about starting her new son at Am-Tree. As she still wanted to conduct her own research on the perfect place for her and her baby, she encountered this site during her search. Both of my children are alumni of Amtree and began as infants with the youngest graduating last year and I can assure you that there was never a day that I worried about the care and safety of my children. I found the staff and administration to be extremely concerned with all of their children and that careful supervision was always apparent. I found the education to be more extensive then I ever anticipated and the caring and cheerful environment to be a wonderful place for my children to spend their days. All I can say is that I'm sorry for this mother who had such an unhappy experience during her 2 month stay and honestly say that the 8 years that our family spent as part of Am-Tree provided many happy memories and good grade school starting foundation for my children. And I'm happy to add that my co-worker found that Am-Tree was the right choice and has been extremely happy and confident with the care her son has received so far in his short stay.

If you would like to send your kind to a daycare with lots lots of kids in extremely dense rooms that don't get fresh air and risk your kid hurt yourself in the outside playground, go ahead and send him or her to AMTree.

My baby went there about two months. At first, I was worried about the situation of very full house in the rooms, almost as dense as nyc metros. But,
I waited and hoped it will be rearranged after september when a season starts. But when they completely ignored an incident including
a broken wrist I had to escape without looking back. Luckily it was a minor fracture at best, but how on earth the teachers saw my baby fall
off from the playground, but couldn't figure out what happened. When I picked up my baby, she wasn't using the hand and yet how could she had her lunch, took the nap and spent the entire afternoon with a broken wrist. How on earth the teachers couldn't notice something is wrong with that. Anyway, beware at your fullest. That could be yours too.

We started our daughter in Am-Tree at 2 1/2 years after interviewing all the viable nurseries in the area.None of them reached the standard of care we wanted for our most precious child We were so nervous about putting her in day care. When we interviewed there, the immediate feeling was Whew...this is it! It was warm, clean, full of laughter and the walls were covered in the childrens artwork.Best of all, the kids AND the teachers all looked happy. Also, in contrast to the other schools we had interviewed, the teachers weren't transient...they come and they stay. Although it was an adjustment for us,our daughter fell happily into the rhythm of the school, and the growth she showed was astounding. Although she was learning her numbers , letters, colors ,shapes etc., she was learning to share, follow rules, social skills and she was having FUN doing it all.We started our son at 4 months in the baby room with no reservations at all. These women, his teachers, treated him as theirs. They hugged him and loved him and kept him cozy and cooing. He was changed immediately if he soiled his diaper or his clothing. They charted his feedings, his diaper changes and his naps so we could be included in his day even though we weren't physically there. When we called periodiaclly to check on either of our kids their teachers were always immediately available .Now, at almost 2 years, he knows his alphabet, can count to 10, sings new songs for us daily, and is the happiest kid we have ever seen. We are grateful to Am-Tree for their above and beyond quality of care and education. Our children are well adjusted, well nurtured and well nourished both physically and emotionally. We recommend them to anyone looking for the best care for their children P.S. Our daughter has now started the kindergarten program at Am-Tree. She loves it. We love it. She can read, write and do math. She has grown by leaps and bounds, and most important, she is happy.

My son has been attending Am-Tree since he was 4 months old. I would give anything in the world to be a stay at home mom or work a reduced schedule but financially we cannot afford to live on my husband's salary alone. As difficult as it is to drop him off everyday, I know his day is filled with learning and activities and nurturing to supplement him when I cannot. They don't try to take my place but they pick him up and brush him off and provide the soothing words he needs when necessary. I am utterly amazed at the things he learns and activities he does that I would never have thought to do with him. Not only has he learned during his time at Am-Tree but I've learned a lot too. I find the staff extremely knowlegable, professional, caring and supportive and responsive to my needs. I find the facility warm and inviting, filled with laughter and story telling, and walls filled with art work created by children that seem extremely happy and well cared for. My friend has a son 4 months older than mine and she has the financial comfort zone to be a stay at home mom and I definitely see a difference in the development between the 2 as well as the differece is social skills and realize that Am-Tree really has made a difference in my son's life. There is the increase in frequency with his being sick but I can deal with that as the postive of all the great things far outweighs the colds and as the doctor has explained, this will better prepare him for school with a stronger immune system.

Am Tree has it's problems. The kids are sick all the time, they need to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the toys and diaper changing area.
The diapers are not changed as they should be- rashes are prevalent.
There is also a lot of favoritism to the children of the teachers.
I feel that the center does not provide enough learning activities.
The teachers are not as caring to the children as they should be.

My daughter has been at Am-tree since she was 8 weeks old in the Infant Center and now she is 4 years old. I can only say that every staff member that she has come in contact with along her development has been very knowledgeable and nurturing. The staff is great with the children. The center is extremely clean and bright. They provide a great breakfast, lunch and snacks for the children. They are always sending their staff to workshops and programs to help enrich the children. They have a beautiful new playground and offer many great programs. I am so delighted I found this school I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this place is. It's a great place for children to be learning. I have such peace of mind leaving my daughter there everyday.

PROS: Great Staff, bright atmosphere, good food, and a great program
CONS: I wish it went up to high school

i have nothing but great things to say about this day care! as a baby, your child gets his-her's own crib (you bring your bedding & mobile) but they wash all the bedding for you!!
The place is very clean (you need to take your shoes off before entering the baby room) & spacious!!
The employees are so sweet & caring to the children! The kids love going there!
They supply the diapers & wipes & when the child gets older they supply the food & milk!!
Its a great place to leave your child while you are at work!!
